Some cop needs his ass fired.

I saw mention of this yesterday.
The activist was smart enough to record the call of her calling the cop to inquire as to why he called her boss. His responses were weak and I did not feel he adequately justified why he needed to contact her employer about her tweets. I agreee with her assertion; he was definitely trying to intimidate her.

But see, according to some on the right, we should just respect the cops, do whatever they say and bow to their authority. They are always right when they target us and us civilians are always wrong.

We should respect cops, yes.

That shouldn’t mean they should get away with murdering people in the streets, robbing people of their hard earned money, watch child porn*, beat people for no reason, assault people for no reason, and so on.

*cop was fired in my city for, in part, accessing the evidence seized during an investigation into a child pornographer. He was never charged with anything because they couldn’t verify he was not doing it as part of his duties despite not being his case. If I recall correctly, though, he was later charged for his part in the beating of a restrained suspect.

Novara maintained he was simply giving her employer
a “heads up” while acting in his capacity as a police officer.

And Maibes gave the world a ‘heads-up’ that Novara is unfit to have the authority he was entrusted with.

What’s next? This cop didn’t just dream up a reason to call someone’s boss. He and his fellow cops sat around, had a little pity party, talked about how mean the liberals are, especially the women, and this is what resulted. I bet that here are at least 5 other guys on that force that would do the same thing tomorrow if the opportunity comes up.

Constant video recording of all cops at all times. If they’re in public, a phone needs to be pointed at them with the recording going.

He was doing more than just trying to intimidate her; he was trying to punish her. Threatening to inform her employer would have been intimidation, but actually doing it goes beyond that.

I’d like to know what in what legitimate capacity as a police officer he claims to have been acting. None that I can think of.

He was acting in the capacity of the Sociopath that he is. In his own mind, the world is the enemy, the less strong and unarmed are his for the taking. There isn’t a dimes worth of difference between Jeffrey Dahmer and this guy. This guy gets support from his fellow sociopaths who joined the police force because they get to carry a gun and shoot someone when the time is right.

This whole ordeal and that ugly video of a group of racist Cardinals fans persuaded me to root for the Giants last night.

The word “Novara” means “racist dumm-fuck” in Spanish.

I know the cop won’t be fired, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.
