I think Josh is probably right again. Trump is a genuinely unaware floater who drifts about in a fog of easy living surrounded by sycophants clamoring for his attention and approval and the piece of his pie that might accompany it. It may very well be that he had no fucking clue what someone like Manafort or others might have been up to, and his sudden concern for getting an intelligence briefing on it all suggests he might be very concerned about what the evidence really shows and how it might connect to him. Granted, this could be him showing concern that the evidence actually implicates him, but if that was the case, I think his play would be a continued vehement blanket denial of it all, not what appears to be him conceding the issue.

Since Drumpf doesn’t like to read anything except “The Art of the Steal”, the Bible and Mein Kampf it may be time for the intelligence community to show him an entertaining little movie of the semi-biographical portrayal of spy-master and Russki-phile Richard Hannsen in the movie “Breach”. How else can they get him caught up on how insidious interference in our country’s national security can head south by ruthless actors working on behalf of a foreign government?
