So now they have gone to denying that there is such a thing as plagiarism. All over the map with the reasons.
“These are values, Republican values by the way, of hard work,
determination, family values, dedication and respect, and that’s Melania
Trump,” Pierson told The Hill. “This concept that Michelle Obama
invented the English language is absurd.”
(((face palm)))
The fact that they could have ended this last night by admitting someone made a mistake but instead chose to go this route is mindblowing. Did Trump himself suggest those passages or what? Is that the reason so many reasonably smart people - Carson, Christie (sometimes) are willing to cover it up with BS arguments?
Well, we can agree that our First Lady didn’t invent the English language. Jesus did.
Pierson has no problem with stealing a few bits here and there, why be such a prissy ?
“These are values, Republican values by the way, of hard work, determination, family values, dedication and respect, and that’s Melania Trump,” Pierson told The Hill. “This concept that Michelle Obama invented the English language is absurd.”
Yeah, you go ahead with that defense. It wasn’t like you were going to win the vote of any one smarter than a bucket of warm spit anyway.
Is Pierson’s face like that naturally, or has she overdone it with the plastic surgery?
I personally don’t understand why they don’t choose to stick with my theory: Michelle’s an X-man who went back in time to plagiarize Melanoma’s speech (proof of media’s bias that they’re not investigating this angle, Congress needs to investigate Michelle as a threat to national security, yada-yada). This is much more plausible than the arguments they are making.
I’d watch that movie.
It was totally expected the Trump campaign would deny it and double it down (they never admit mistakes/accept any responsibility) with a lot of absurd excuses/blaming-others. That’s a given.
What I want to know is how the MSM guys are reacting to their outrageous doubling-down (like this one in the article, or Manafort blaming Hillary for this fiasco) … are they saying, as usual, “OK”?
(If anyone is following the MSM reaction now, would appreciate your take).
Michelle should give Melania a big ol’ hug: “It’s so beautiful that the Trumps share our family values of hard work, etc…See? They are just like us in important ways.”
OT: If anyone is curious, here’s today’s lineup of speakers:
Dana White, president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Asa Hutchison, governor of Arkansas.
Michael Mukasey, former US Attorney General under George W. Bush.
Andy Wist, founder and CEO of Standard Waterproofing.
“Hil-LIAR-y,” a video interlude.
Ron Johnson, US Senator from Wisconsin set to lose reelection to his predecessor Russ Feingold.
Chris Cox, former California Congressman and Securities and Exchange Commission chair from 2005-2009 (including the financial meltdown).
Natalie Gulbis, a professional LPGA golfer.Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader.
“We Stand United,” described only as “Members of the US Senate.”
Paul Ryan, House Speaker.
Kevin McCarthy, House Majority Leader.
Chris Christie, governor of New Jersey and chair of Trump’s transition team.
Tiffany Trump, age 22, Donald’s only child with second wife Marla Maples.
The Sensations, some kind of music band.
Kerry Woolard, general manager of the Trump winery.
Donald Trump Jr., Trump’s oldest child.
Shelley Moore Capito, US Senator from West Virginia.
Ben Carson, pioneering neurosurgeon and black community hero turned Tea Party icon.
Kimberlin Brown, soap star of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful fame.
This deny-the-obvious-mistake policy of the Trump campaign is brilliant!
Step One: Invent a strong-premise argument for your opponent, as in “Michele Obama invented the English words used in her speech.”
Step Two: Expose the faulty premise, as in “No she didn’t … Absurd!”
Step Three: Draw the logically faulty conclusion that the false premise you’ve ascribed to your opponent disproves their argument.
Step Four: Blame Clinton.
Step Five: When all else fails, blame Obama.
Trump can’t ever admit a mistake or say he’s “sorry,” Ever. Hence the mess of his campaign.
Too stupid to bother responding to. But that’s what we’ve come to expect from dear Pierson.
Stepford wife had the wrong speech in her system. I would fire whoever programmed her, then send her down to maintenance to install “Nancy Reagan’s Greatest Hits.”
Trumptards!
Right there with slime mold on the intelligence level.
And it’s worth noting that Gulbis (ranked something like #432 in the LPGA), Tiffany Trump, Woolard, and Brown were listed as headliners; Ryan, Christie, McCarthy, and McConnell weren’t.
