I get the impression that Americans are thought of as some of the most racially prejudiced folks in the world and maybe we are, but Iād argue that a lot of countries donāt have nearly the mixed population we do and because of that there isnāt as much clashing of people of different races that contributes to this animosity.

I donāt think thatās it. Europe has a very high minority population, and is much less racist. I believe it all goes back to slavery, and before that the Native American extermination. Add in US exceptionalism. The areas of America with the most ethnic diversity are also the most racist. Iām no authority, though.
This is pure speculation, but Iāve often wonder if way back when North America was opening up to colonization, every religious kook, missfit and entrepreneur in Europe (and other parts of the world) moved to America to start āfreshā. We truly got the best and the worst.
I donāt know. As far as I can tell, the victim and perpetrator were both white. āBritain Firstā is about nationalism, not racism.
Other than that, Britain is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in Europe ā a legacy of the Empire. In general, former colonial powers (Britain, France, also the Netherlands) have larger minority populations than countries with no history of colonialism.
Itās a damned cold comfort to see that weāre not alone in our vile, divisive, and sometimes deadly political stew. These days I find myself frequently thinking of the experiments with mice and rats left to multiply in limited space, but generally with unlimited resources Behavioral sink. In the greater sense all these events seem to me to be the human expression of limited space/resources competition. It feels as though we are in an existential race between our better angels and the basest instincts of tribalism overlain by the problems of climate disruption - brought to us by, us.

Youāre mistaken. Nations you probably think of as dominated by Caucasian races long ago had influxes of many different races and ethnicities. Racial/ethnic/religious/cultural/gender tensions all across Europe are on a slow boil. The internet, cheap airfare, migration of jobs, fleeing refugees, mixed marriages, porous or relaxed borders all have contributed to a great many nations becoming melting pots.
Britain First is nationalism which is racism. The both are intertwined together. Immigration is an even hotter topic in Europe than it is here.

Never been out of the country?
We are WAY less racially prejudiced than say, the Japanese (the absolute WORSE), the Chinese, or even the Russians (also, Europeans and their descendants tend to favor SOFT-Racism anyway.)
On the other hand we are WAAAAAAYYYYY more VIOLENT about it, having actually fought a bloody Civil War (which for many is STILL not over) because of racismās logical end-game: Slavery.
We are also one of the biggest countries in the world with a population of 330 million or so and ALL of them (except of course for the indigenous peoples who are a tiny minority) are either immigrants or descended from immigrants.
This is unique in the world where the vast majorities of the populations have been there for generations.
As I like to say; āOur fore-fathers were kicked out of every law-abiding country in the world.ā
