Discussion: Spicer's Book Signing In Massachusetts Canceled 'Due To The Political Climate'

Maybe they have some spare SecServ persons from Scott Pruitt’s praetorianer guard, that he could borrow ?

You mean the climate where no one wants your book because it’s so full of lies it make’s works of fiction seem real?

Seekonk, MA borders Spicey’s hometown of Barrington, RI. If he can’t make it there, he ain’t gonna make anywhere with this dog’s breakfast of a book he’s trying to peddle. The political climate’s not the problem, it’s the proximity–folks know his sorry act all to well there.

You know Regnery Publishing is where conservative hacks try to make a living.

A political climate, BTW, that he helped nurture as a feckless enabler of the Don…head back to the bushes where you belong…cue Melissa Mc Carthy…

I was wondering the other day if they were the publisher. They choose the most bonker authors to publish. They’re so ideologically aligned with rightwing nonsense, it makes perfect sense that they’re the publisher. This is a publisher that buys their own books to give the appearance of a popular best-seller…until the rest of the publishing world caught on.

And its most likely it was cancelled due to pukey sales and very few people who were going to show up.

What makes it even funnier is that Regnery is now owned by Salem Media Group. Salem is strictly conservative christian. Too bad Regnery/Salem didn’t have enough money to hire a competent editor. I’d think that they would be worried about Spicer’s sins of omission.

Isn’t Regnery a Right-wing vanity press?

Funnier still: Regnery’s books are now distributed by Simon & Schuster.

BBC’s Emily Maitlis on Tuesday confronted former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, arguing that his actions while serving as the top spokesman for President Trump “corrupted discourse for the entire world by going along with” the president’s lies.

Maitlis made the statement during BBC Newsnight as she interviewed Spicer, who is promoting his new book, “The Briefing.”

Regnery had to be saved by Salem, apparently it takes “Christians” longer to figure out that they have been lied to.

Man. A book signing at BJ’s. Starting at the bottom and working your way down. It’s like when Spinal Tap was playing the Air Force base, close to the end. And then they cancel on you. Is it wrong I’m smiling?

He worked for, lied for, bleated for, harangued for, accused for, insulted for, gaslighted for a “president,” whose current approval stands at 38%.

Not so sure I’d call that "career capital’

The real questions will be, How many copies of Spicer’s book will be bought by Regnery and how many will they have to pulp, period?’
