Sean Spicer is a piece of work. First there is the “state.” The state is governed by the “government.” One of the branches of that government is the “Administration.” If there are members of the “Administration” who are trying to undermine the “Administration” that is too bad. A competent Administration would take care of that.
Instead the invention of the term, “Deep State” to pass blame for their own incompetence is shameful. The term in and of its’ self is meaningless. From most anyone’s view from outside the Administration it is clear that the incompetence of the “Shallow State” is what is taking down the Trump Administration.

By this logic Obama had Dubya’s staff “burrowed” into the government as well, didn’t seem to hamper his admin’s ability to lead the country.

Interesting that Obama never had these same problems after inheriting an WH filled with 8 years of GWB-appointed staff. The previous POTUS seemed to fit right in, and get his job done without ANY of the problems this current regime is experiencing. What could possibly explain the vast differences between the to administrations settling into their new roles, each filled with the previous administrations staff?
