Discussion: Spicer: Bannon, Others Needed Ethics Pass To Talk To Former Media Employers

"He is the ultimate decider on that. "

Wrong. That matter was settled a long time ago.

“We have an ethics pledge, but everyone who works here has an exemption from it…”

Sounds legit… >.>

Just more Orwellian jabberwocky out of Spicee. “This isn’t really ethics of the sort that are binding on people, this is just what Trump promised would be ethics but that was then this is now and why are you still asking me questions?”

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that presidential aides had been granted a blanket waiver from the President Donald Trump’s ethics pledge in order to speak to news organizations

That’s what the communications office is for, Sean Spicer is RIGHT THERE SPEAKING TO NEWS ORGANIZATIONS. That’s who Bannon and others speak to, Spicer, then Spicer speaks to the Press. Too bad the WH press corps is letting Bannon walk all over them again.

The administration is careening toward oblivion. And Spicer is no bionic dog.

“One is, remember, this didn’t have to do with the law
or regulations. This had to do with the President’s pledge. His ethics
pledge. He is the ultimate decider on that. This isn’t with respect to a
law or regulation.”

In this administration, the President’s pledge = nothing.

And the world is very quickly catching on to this.

Why is the interest on when these individuals obtained ethics exemptions rather than on the fact that what Spicer’s describing is state-run media collusion?

The sound effects make it seem soooo real.

Really blows that theory that a dog wouldn’t know what to do if he caught it.

That was about the most lousy soundover that I can remember hearing.

I think the “kid noises” were the most lame, but it was a toss up.

There are a million lovely problems with this clip (the kid actually shifts the car INTO gear out of neutral, so it should have been rolling already and stopped when she knocked it into 1st or 3rd.). But I love it

Quite literally, Trump is a liar and cannot be held accountable for anything he promises.

WOW.

hahahahaha I think Spicee actually meant it this way: Trump is God and whatever he says about anything is the law and ethical by definition.

I like your interpretation much better.

Oh horsepucky. You guys used the ‘ethics, morals and values’ crap out on the campaign trail to suck in the rubes. Now that you have them we ALL realize that ship has sailed. There isn’t a ONE (ethic, moral or value) among any of you…well maybe Ben Carson but that’s because he’s so darned EARNEST…

Nope, not even him. It just looks that way because he is perhaps the outright craziest of them all.
