Trump bought a nice framed photo of Richard Helms for Pompeo’s office.

I have a question about the FBI here. What knowledge would McCabe have of the current state of the investigation into Trump and Russia? Obviously, in general the asst. director would be ignorant of many current investigations.
I can see two plausible scenarios in terms of the Trump/Russia investigation. First, he could have asked for regular briefings, because of the sensitive nature of the subject.
Alternatively, he might know details about the investigation because red flags required the directorship to be notified.
More or less, these seem to be the reasons McCabe would know about the investigation. In neither case should or could McCabe give the assurances that Spicer asked before, but especially in the first.

So Spicer has now effectively compromised McCabe, Pompeo and Comey; and who knows who else. It’s like a broken record, but if a Democratic President’s press secretary had done this, the GOP and MSM would be forming a joint impeachment party.

I know… the double standard is depressing. Makes me despise the republican party more and more.

Well, my tongue is now twisted into a knot after reading the story out loud to the wife.

ā€œWe then were informed that other people had come to the same conclusions, including at that time, chairman Nunes, that told us, ā€˜Hey, I’ve been knocking this down, telling reporters…"

Nunes announced today that the investigation hasn’t even begun because they were still creating the scope.

Yet he has made ā€œconclusionsā€?

You are not allowed to think like that or more importantly, speak in those terms.
No worries, It was just my imagination practicing for the job spiceboy has. lol

Hell, Chaffetz was threatening Clinton with impeachment before the election.

Maybe Spicer will disclose his true feelings later…

TPM, you’re missing the big story…

Spicer said that the FBI reached out to them first.

So it’s another ā€˜illegal’ leak. THAT should be the big story.

The spin cycle on the Trump fact-washing machine’s gonna blow a gasket any day now.

This is why I don’t watch this asshole (who now looks like he’s got that same Brylcream, slicked-back hairdo as all the other lackeys Trump hires) It really is like a cult there…

All this administration does is lie and tell others to lie for them. There isn’t anyone within the Trump administration so far that has any balls or enough integrity to step down, rather than engage in bullshitting the American people. None of them are willing to stand up for what’s right…Instead, they do just what’s expedient to get the press off their back. Not once have they offered to verify anything for the public or provide any transparency whatsoever.

I have no respect or mercy for this ass kisser. He will do or say anything Trump tells him, spread any lie. Oh I bet the press pool is having a real, good, time.

ā€œAside from mentioning Nunes, though, Spicer didn’t get into details about who he asked to talk to reporters.ā€

Well, why not Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn and Michael Cohen?

Can they do it under oath?

There’s Carter Page, too. Also, what about Manafort’s business partner, Gates? I haven’t heard his name for a while. I’m pretty sure he was linked to Russia, at least circumstantially, in a couple of stories. It would be nice if Ivana Trump could explicitly deny the allegation that she negotiated with the Russians for Trump, in Prague.
