I have a question about the FBI here. What knowledge would McCabe have of the current state of the investigation into Trump and Russia? Obviously, in general the asst. director would be ignorant of many current investigations.
I can see two plausible scenarios in terms of the Trump/Russia investigation. First, he could have asked for regular briefings, because of the sensitive nature of the subject.
Alternatively, he might know details about the investigation because red flags required the directorship to be notified.
More or less, these seem to be the reasons McCabe would know about the investigation. In neither case should or could McCabe give the assurances that Spicer asked before, but especially in the first.
So Spicer has now effectively compromised McCabe, Pompeo and Comey; and who knows who else. Itās like a broken record, but if a Democratic Presidentās press secretary had done this, the GOP and MSM would be forming a joint impeachment party.
