Discussion for article #238656
This could be a smackdown of epic proportions. Popcorn, anyone?
Interesting - this could be a wonderful breath of toxic turmoil air for FOX … however it will not be the end of the disease - as there is such an active appetite for news to be reported & conform exactly with the views of the vapid & bigoted reactionary conservative couch dwelling drones - that another entity will gleefully reinvent themselves to jump into the space
Murdoch: ¨When is Donald Trump going to stop embarrassing his friends, let
alone the whole country?¨
Sorry he embarrasses you and your ilk, Rupert old boy. Is it because he says what you all are thinking, but know it’s impolitic to say outside of your social circles?
As for the ¨whole country¨, you’ve been embarrassing the rest of us for years.
Hmmm… first Roger takes a demotion and has to report to the kid instead of the chairman… and now he actively defies the chairman? Could Roger be getting ready to jump ship? Wouldn’t it be something if Trump decides to launch his own Cable News channel after his campaign flames out?
Is this the end of Roger Ailes at Fox?
Rupert’s tweet, sums up my feelings about Faux News.
“Murdoch has privately described Trump as a ‘phony’….”
From the owner of a phony network broadcasting phony news to phony patriots.
Ailes knows that he should ride the Trump wave as long as he can. No downside. He makes the rest of the lunatics look much less like lunatics. Also, it keeps all the Jeb! gaffes on page 2. Lindsy’s fainting spells aren’t grist for the Jimmys. And so on.
Mr. Murdoch, YOUR network help create this Trump monster. Now, deal with it!
Trump is a monster that Faux News and the Murdoch media empire helped create. Cry me a river!!!
Hey Rupert, you thought Trump was great when he was/is a birther. Well, you own him now so pass the popcorn and watch the show. Trump is YOUR man.
This is twisted in so many ways: Trump is getting outsized attention simply because he’s saying the kinds of stupid, mean, reactionary things that Fox was created to amplify, and also because he’s a walking tabloid headline generator. But Sir Sauron’s reasons for wanting to silence the Donald are all about unethical media manipulation in favor of his political POV. Never mind that putting editorial pressure on the newsroom from the chairman’s suite for any reason would be scandal of gargantuan proportions at any other network.
Huh. Interesting perspective! Maybe the whole presidential run thing is a ploy between the two of them to gin up Trump’s profile as a conservative, and thus create receptivity for a Trump/Ailes con “news” channel. But surely Ailes has a contract with Fox that would prohibit that…
Clash of the tycoons.
Phony science, phony journalists, phony hair color…
And what Rupert bloody-well wants, Rupert bloody-well gets…you get that slackers!!!**
**Any similarities to Donald Trump’s egomaniacal behavior is purely coincidental.
Crikey…takes one to know one. I think something struck Rupert a little too close to home. OUCH.
…and what will tRump’s response be?
But…but…but…Fox News is “fair and balanced”.
(Seriously, how their news readers on TV and radio can say that blatant lie without breaking out into hysterical laughter is amazing.)
Then what would they have to do-report on all the other boring “candidates”?!
