“He Never Made A Dent In Us.”
Right.
He probably didn’t make a dent in the conservatives that eat up the Fox news stories/narratives.
I think he made quite a dent in making independents & liberals see how crazy conservatives were getting.
That’s only because Comedy Central isn’t normally broadcast to nursing homes.
It’s too bad. There would be a lot less unhappy, bitter, frightened elderly people if Fox were replaced with Comedy Central.
No dents maybe but a thousand cuts.
Darrow lost the Scopes trial. But he brilliantly and mercilessly exposed Bryan and the rest as fools and charlatans. Roger at al. might wish for the Fox gang to be seen as legitimate newscasters, but Stewart tore that fig leaf off time and time again over years, and I wish I had a penny for every time someone laughed out loud as he did it. You’re scum, Ailes, and every right-thinking person knows it and on some level you know they know.
"he’s beginning to wonder: ‘Is this as popular as I’m ever going to get? Is this as much power as I’ll ever have? The one person I could never get rid of was Roger Ailes. I tried. I did everything I could.’
LMAO!!! As if we needed proof that Ailes never really knew or understood John Stewart…
Ailes thinks it’s all about him. That’s funny.
“Fox News Boss On Jon Stewart: ‘He Never Made A Dent In Us’”
Oh really?
I’s say being pointed out as LIARS is a “dent”
Well, maybe not among republicans, but among sane people it is.
you’d think a bitter old white guy syncophantically surrounded by a bunch of bitter old white guys would be better at identifying bitterness in someone else…
Ailes is referring to what I’d call a pyrrhic victory. As in:
“They got us surrounded…now we can attack and meet the enemy head on.”
If Ailes cared about Fox being seen as a legitimate news source he’d realize how big a dent the Daily Show made in its credibility. Since no one at Fox actually sees themselves as journalists, as far as they know everything is still right as rain. Having a reputation as being a crank organization isn’t a problem for them.
Clearly Ailes has no idea who Stewart appeals to: hint, and they’re not the old right wing geezers Fox appeals to
Impossible to dent blubber.
Nope, never made a dent in you demo, but a whole generation coming up won’t take you seriously when your demo dies off.
"He has a bitter view of the world and you see it embodied in how he’s reacting to Fox News, equating it with death."
BrainDeath.
FoxNews is the ManuchurianCandidate RedQueen trigger.
News Update: Man survives near miss from blunt commentary. Walks away largely un-impacted as message apparently passed completely over his head.
Fox News, equating it with death
Catchy…
“A penny for the old guy…”
Let me be no nearer
In death’s dream kingdom
Let me also wear
Such deliberate disguises
Rat’s coat, crowskin, crossed staves
In a field
Behaving as the wind behaves
No nearer –

Ego much, Roger?
