I think he made quite a dent in making independents & liberals see how crazy conservatives were getting.

Darrow lost the Scopes trial. But he brilliantly and mercilessly exposed Bryan and the rest as fools and charlatans. Roger at al. might wish for the Fox gang to be seen as legitimate newscasters, but Stewart tore that fig leaf off time and time again over years, and I wish I had a penny for every time someone laughed out loud as he did it. You’re scum, Ailes, and every right-thinking person knows it and on some level you know they know.

If Ailes cared about Fox being seen as a legitimate news source he’d realize how big a dent the Daily Show made in its credibility. Since no one at Fox actually sees themselves as journalists, as far as they know everything is still right as rain. Having a reputation as being a crank organization isn’t a problem for them.
