Discussion for article #233987
You’re telling me NO ONE in the Obama administration outside of Foggy Bottom noticed she was emailing from a not-dot-gov Internet location? I don’t buy that.
This story is coming out of AP. That’s a tell, especially since the piece is claiming a basis in anonymous sourcing.
I’m picking up the fetid stench of Ron Fourier here.
So you’re saying you don’t believe the Administration didn’t know she was emailing from a private email, but you say the story stinks because it is coming from the AP???.
Again: the AP story is not sourced to any named or identifiable person: it’s sourced to ANONYMOUS.
Another twist: the current ‘incumbent’ as White House Counsel is Neil Eggleston - who didn’t take over as WHC until June of last year - some SIXTEEN MONTHS after John Kerry took over from HRC as SoS.
You guys know know about this? > Hey, we only GOT here last summer! WTF would we even be concerned?
I’m SAYING this is completely consistent with the NYT b.s. piece that left out the part about what law she broke, namely, none. I’m saying we’re starting to see the same NYT-AP establishment media bull crap that went on during the Bill Clinton administration.
Thanks. I wanted to be sure I understood where you were on tis story, So what we have here are more than likely two bullshit pieces. This is just a preview and perhaps it’s time for her to announce so she can start dealing with these things properly because it’s only just begun.
As soon as I saw the byline (Nedra Pickler) I figured something was up. I have seen her on C-span a few times, and, after listening to her there, I doubt if she has ever written a new story that cast any liberal in a positive light. Your argument is well taken.
It says that many were aware in the article since they got emails from that address, yes.
But what they were not aware of was that it was her sole means of email communication. The headline for this story could have been written better for sure.
Doesn’t surprise me in the least that the White House didn’t know about this. You appoint people like Hilary Clinton to these kinds of jobs so you don’t have to sweat the details because you have enough going on in the White House to deal with.
If you think this is BS, start reading Canadian newspapers. They have a hard right prime minister who appoints hard right ministers - members of parliament who double up as heads of major government departments - the ministers are considered pawns of the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office), which is run by expensive political consultant types, and despite the micro-management by the PMO, they get an endless stream of scandals from their nutcase ministers that even conservatives can’t handle. It’s really quite funny.
The institutional problem in Canada is that they can’t go outside parliamentary ranks for ministers , which limits the pool. The pool is in turn limited by a Conservative party cohort that isn’t any better than the Republican caucus in the US House of Representatives.
