Trumps great victory is coming to naught.

I will be so happy to have Sinema as my senator! I loathe McScummy. Even so, even if it means McScummy wins I want ALL the votes COUNTED because, unlike repugnicans, I believe in democracy and that is how it works!

With Sinema taking the lead over McSally, right-wingers on Twitter are clutching their pearls so hard they’re popping like bubble wrap.

Count. Every. Vote.

Everywhere. In every state.

Every.Vote.Counts.

And … fuck Kemp and Scott.

At the AZ Sec. Of State website, the latest update shows the lead to be 9,210. Lotta votes left to be counted though:

And now Rick Scott is getting so aggravated with his lead on Nelson shrinking it might lead to him losing even without a recount. This is why you wait until every vote is counted before calling anything.

That must be the 5:00 pm daily vote update. Was just at Washington Monthly where a commenter posted that Sinema had taken the lead with a little over 2000 votes so she has gained another 7000 since then. Wonderful. I love her for being openly bi-sexual and non religious and not afraid to say it loud and proud. And did I mention that she has a mesmerizing smile?

But there are still almost a half-million outstanding ballots in the state, which is notoriously slow at tallying its election results because of a heavy reliance on mail voting

Yet here in Oregon all elections are done by mail and results were available on election night. AZ is just doing it wrong.

He wants the voting to stop because he has all the votes he needs.

What’s going on with DeSantis and Gillum? Is it over over or are they still counting?

Sinema’s lead is going to grow. Of the ballots left to count, about 420k are in counties in which Sinema is leading, with about 54k in counties where McSally is leading. Even if you take Maricopa County out of the equation, there are still 73k votes left to count in Sinema counties (still higher than McSally counties). The remaining vote in Maricopa seems more pro-Sinema, so I think it’s possible that she wins that vote by 5 to 8 points, that would net her 17k to 27k votes and there really is no path for McSally if that happens. Sinema might end up with 50% of the vote and might end up winning by about 2 points.

So you eventually get to a ginormo pdf but I believe the TLDR version is that R’s have been so focused on suppressing the vote that minorities and others use absentee and provisional ballots to vote, so the longer the recount goes, the better D’s do.

Without putting too fine a point on it, Arizona does a lot of things wrong.
