Discussion for article #227645

ā€œā€¦There is still a question whether it really happenedā€¦ā€

No. There isn’t.

We have a couple of real ā€œgemsā€ in Colorado…Dr. Chaps, comes to mind when thinking about insane people running for office…I can’t offer any suggestions as to why Southeast Colorado is home to the nuts, the crazy, the insane and the gop/baggers…

Just when you thought 9/11 Truther’s were the biggest nuts…these guys are ten times as nuts. Yes, the timing was convenient (just after Obama got re-elected), but that is the same ā€œlogicā€ 9/11 nuts use. Problem is…it’s not logic. It’s dumb. Just like following the money does not always lead to truth. Alka-Seltzer makes a lot of money on heartburn. Does not mean they invented acidic foods… There is a difference between people EXPLOITING events vs actually ORCHESTRATING them. The Obama Admin definitely exploited Sandy Hook…and to me that was a GOOD thing.

I read about this—evidently one of the fathers took a deep breath and smiled before he had to go in front of the cameras, the kind of thing anyone might do to steady up before doing a really difficult thing. And they used that to say the guy was ā€œsmiling and laughingā€ so it didn’t happen at all. Or if you want to come off as reasonable you say there’s a question about whether it happened. That’s how badly these freaks need to believe that guns are just fine and never do any harm and the drumbeat of horrific massacres and the ongoing, everyday stream of less-publicized murders, suicides, and accidental and intentional injuries doesn’t meant we’re a little off base in our thinking about this. Shaking my damn head.

Someone is surprised that far-far-right ā€œRepublicansā€ like Beauprez and Gardner are shitheads?

Are you kidding, outside of Greater Metro Denver, Colorado is populated by morons, and always has been, statewide. I grew up there, had plenty of rural Colorado relatives, none of whom I could stand to be around even before I knew why. I remember Colorado state history as taught in the schools used to call Chivington’s Massacre at Sand Creek a ā€œbattleā€ that ā€œprotected civilization.ā€ Thank goodness I got the hell out of there 50 years ago.

The Sandy Truth ā€˜truthers’ sicken me, even more than the 9-11 truthers. The way they disrespect the grief, humanity and privacy of the parents who lost children in this horrific tragedy is so far beyond the pale, it makes me doubt their humanity. I don’t want to belong to the same species as someone so ignorant and hateful.

Yep, Matt, it’s a pretty common thing that happens in every modern tragedy. Amateur ā€˜experts’ look at a few seconds of video and think they know everything about how humans react under stress. Most of them have no experience with these kind of events and are just ignorant fools.

Easy fella, my family and I have been here over twenty five years and from what I see personally, it’s more the Texas and southern imports that are the Obama haters and gun nuts. The Republicans around me are exactly the same as what I hear and know about from other states and from other people. We have dipshit teabaggers and radicals that call themselves conservatives just like everywhere and I don’t hang with them. But calling everyone morons is just as moronic.

I love Colorado, especially after coming from the rat race of SoCal, excluding North County San Diego, that is.

I can’t be sure it happened because I wasn’t there.

Denialism is the winger establishement’s way of measuring how much control they have over the minds their people. The scale goes:

Climate Change < Evolution < Pragmatic Economics < Obama’s Citizenship < Moon Landing < Sandy Hook

They all believe climate change is a hoax. That’s just baseline. It takes a special all-star whackjob to deny a massacre of six-year olds.

Tom’s just showing his handlers that he’s a hard-core, full-blown, pharmaceutical-grade nutterā€“ā€œReadyā€ if you will.

One of the teachers told the littlest children as they had to evacuate past the death and destruction, ā€œClose your eyes, hold hands.ā€ Sound like the RWNJs are taking that advice out of context.

I hear the GOoPers have a bumper sticker for the upcoming election that says:

"Always Vote for Craziest Motherfucker on the Ballot"

So does he have an opinion on Dunblane? I mean, is he a serial denier of mass killings of children, or is this a one-off? Either way, the man has serious issues with reality.

Benghazi, where 4 grown men knowing the dangers of being in the middle of a civil war were killed, was some kind of mass conspiracy. But the murder of two dozen plus in a school was a hoax. This is the only way conservatives can fairy tale their illogical story lines.

Thanks for the link. I wasn’t aware that was the incident that ended up banning handguns in the UK. It took 18 dead children there. How many children have to die here in our country for politicians to get some sense knocked into them, that this country has gone too far not regulating guns?
