Discussion: Shocker: The Feds Don't Want Manafort's Ostrich Skin Jacket

Oh, I think Paulie should be able to keep the snake jacket. It could come in handy when he molts.

Maybe the prison will let him wear it when the weather is chilly. He will be a huge hit with other inmates.
Glad they’ve seized most of his assets so when/if he’s ever released he’ll be on the dole.

I suspect the snake jacket had to be surgically removed.

I also suspect his prison nick will be “Nagini”.

Those articles of clothing which in my eyes are really ugly will not look any better when the jail bird is released and back to trying to impress people with his expensive clothes.

At least now Manafort can bring some major cred to the prison musicals.

Even if I was a billionaire I can’t imagine wanting ostrich skin boots much less a jacker. Their spotty skin does nothing for me. Granted I’m not a clothes horse, more of a clothes jack ass!

Strange, as the Justice Dept. is choosing to bury its head in the sand re: obstruction, the ostrich jacket is apropos…

Given what we’ve learned about some of manafort’s seamier proclivities, I wouldn’t be surprised if these items turned out not to be wearable by anyone but manafort unless thoroughly sanitized.

Dood. I’ll take it. It would be hilarious

$6500 camel hair coat? That sucker must be hand-stitched with the hair of 12 English virgins.

I’m afraid it is without feathers and downs…

seriously, this thing belongs in the Smithsonian - as a totem to excess.

The true jest on clothes like that is that if you saw someone riding the bus in any of those jackets - with the exception of the camel hair coat - you’d never think 'gosh, $15,000 worth of style there." They all look like normal, boring, slightly tacky men’s jackets. Put a members only label on them and no one would look twice.

Sell it on Ebay and put the money in the Treasury.

Yeah, I like camel hair a lot. I’ve got several camel hair blazers in my wardrobe. They weren’t cheap but they weren’t $6500 either. They’re always in fashion and they wear like iron.

Exactly. And usually with a coat of that price, the cut is superior as well, you can really tell the cheap from the luxury brand with that kind of thing. Those other ugly coats from novelty hides, not so much.

TPM should buy it and send it to this year’s top Duke Award winner as their prize.

I guess it’s a little too late to give it back to the ostrich
