Good. Iām sure we can count on him to speak out and speak often on behalf of the American people.
Plus heāll be better ready to take chair position when the Dems return to having control over the Senateās agenda after the 2016 elections.
And heāll be needed there, given the likely policy positions on the financial industry of the incoming Clinton administration.
And can we stop labeling him a āpopulistā, a dismissive word beloved of the MSM?
Agree, heās a good pick.
Which is why selecting him for this seat now is quite interesting. It obviously isnāt a Clinton influenced pick.
I hope youāre right about Democrats regaining Senate control in 2016.
Great news!
Hillary doesnāt really have any influence in the Senate any more.
There are 24 Republican Senators up for re-election in 2016, and only 10 Democrats.
A number of the GOP group are in danger of losing alreadyāToomey, Ayotte, and Johnsonācome to mind, and there will be others.
The Clintonās have all sorts of influence within the Democratic party. Not saying the control it, obviously they donāt. But they certainly arenāt without very willing friends.
They have a kind of influence, but not in the Senate when it comes to who does what on which committee.
Reid is not all that fond of Hillary, although heād deny it if asked.
Any ā-istā or ā-ismā is an attempt to brand and marginalize. Cool call, Nemo!
A little bit of good news to end an absolutely abysmal week!
