Who could have known that a man with his finger on the pulse of the American oligarchy might not be the best candidate? Certainly not other oligarchs. I particularly liked Brown dismissively calling him “that coffee guy”.
Maybe Howard Schlultz is a total idiot, but he’s the first glimmer of a robot party. Robots can’t vote yet, although they are now working hard to throw human elections.
Speaking of idiots, C,K, Lewis has really gone over the edge once he was exposed as a molester.
Currently Schultz’s constituency appears to consist entirely of his own campaign staff and the producers of talking head shows.
(And Brown could have simply stopped at “total idiot”.)
I like, “total idiot”! Nice ring to it!
Also we should open a pool now on how long this “campaign in all 50 states” is going to last - the unit to be used is “Mooches” (10 days).
Problem is I think it’s apt - he is a total idiot so he’s going to run cause he is.
Have we impeached the motherfucker yet?
On PBS last night, Mark Shields said that most of the interest in Schultz’s candidacy is coming from writers at “very serious journals,” which got a chuckle from David Brooks.
Whereby, on cue, Sir David used his closing seconds to paint himself as the victim of vitriol for his righteous punditry. Sigh.
In an effort to please customers small coffee companies nationwide are clamoring to get bio-degradable cups with this popular new logo.
The boycott chez blue initiated on the day “total idiot” announced is still in place. Not a nickel, nada, it’s Peet’s from now on.
I had a WTF moment when I read what Brooks had to say about Kamala Harris. He’s all in and predicting she’s going to be the candidate who can turn back trumpp…
I have to admit that as i post this, i am drinking a flat white Americano (i think that’s what its called). I have a Starbucks gift card from one of my resdints who routinely needs my administrative wizardry to, essentially, remain functional.
For those of you blessed to work with residents on the non-clinical side of residency (regardless of which type of medicine), you understand that they are by and large extemely intelligent people, but understand why I am in possession of a gift card.
Oh but my point - Schultz sucks and you GO Sherrod Brown with your f××ked up voice. Normally, thats an indicator of fluency in scotch. But Im not judging.
At some point, I think Schultz is going to realize that he spent a lot of money on advisers who were unwilling to tell him the truth because that would have ended their employment, and as a result he made a fool of himself in public.
What I don’t understand is why people like Trump and Schultz haven’t figured out that as long as one makes continued employment contingent on being told what one wants to hear, rather than on being told the facts, one will hear only what one wants to hear rather than hearing the facts.
