Sounds like the sheriff was making an effort to provide the necessary information to keep people calm and not have their imaginations go wild. As bad as the bad ones are, the good, professional cops are a real benefit to a community and deserve the recognition they get.

If the victims had knives they’d probably all be ok.
If that was the kid’s best effort at a “get a gun in America” algorithm, I think I can guess why he was asked to leave the study group.
Exactly what I thought. There was no overreaction. Of course, this was California and not Texas.
