Having the evidence to charge is a lot different than thinking there is “a lot of smoke and fire there.” Any stupid person could think the latter about any imagined crime. That is why we rely on smart professional law enforcers, the opposite of you, to make charging decisions.

As I have posted …most of the fringe mouth breathers Arpiao depends upon to get re-elected live in Maricopa county where Phoenix is located. Other parts of the state aren’t nearly as red.

Yes, really-- Arpaio is wrong about the president (I wonder how he accounts for the birth notice in the Hawaii newspaper), but you’d think he’d be angry about Cruz-- who actually was born outside the USA and has a foreign father and had for real dual citizenship until last year.
But consistency isn’t important to him.

What are the jurisdiction issues here anyway? Federal document, Hawaii, DC, etc etc. How does a county sheriff investigate this and where does he take his case when he thinks he finds something?

I was thinking of Orly. She’s 54 and could inherit Joe’s office if she wanted to.
So what is Sheriff Joe’s “evidence”. Is it something Orly Taitz said? Or a photo shopped and altered version of the birth certificate from off the web? If Joe has evidence he should present it. I think he is blowing some dry desert air.
