Typical conservative - nothing is “true” until it happens to them.

He backed down from the edge.

The nutters will consider him a coward now.

I see this all the time. Some wingnut asshole posts some seriously flawed piece of right-wing garbage information on Facebook and snidely states something like “You libtards let this happen! Wake up sheeple!”. Then they get called out hard on it, and their response is something like “LOL, I just thought it was funny and just a bit interesting that’s all. Not really looking to debate or anything like that”.

Sorry Hanlin, you posted that, you own it.

“Watch, listen, and keep an open mind.”

And by “keep an open mind,” he means “place the discharge end of Alex Jones’ high colonic tube in your ear and brace yourself.”

I think Hanlin does believe the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting actually occurred. However, his contention the shots really came from behind the grassy knoll is troubling.

Would the world wobble on its axis if one of these a$$wipes admit that he was mistaken and had changed his mind?

Well of course not! He just posted a truther video and left it up for almost three years, wrote Biden a personal letter, and only took it down when everybody scrutinized his FB page, because he’s NOT a truther! That makes perfect sense!

Probably why conservatives think threesomes are an urban myth.

So either he didn’t believe Sandy Hook was true, or he thought it appropriate to post the most insensitive and inflammatory lies about it on his Facebook page and leave it there for years. Then proceeds to lobby against an initiative to expand background checks.

The fact that he immediately took down the post after the shooting in Roseburg screams of an oh shit this is not going to look good moment. He wasn’t prepared for a mass shooting in his community. If he had been prepared he would have not had to clean up his social media presence.

Gonna have to be content with The moon landing was faked, Who knows where Obama was born, and Global warming’s a giant hoax. Can’t expect him to give up ALL wingnut conspiracy theories, just one’s that become inconvenient.

And took it down, after the media scrutiny had already gone viral with it, in the middle of the day after the shooting, when, by all accounts, he should be knee deep in actual police work dealing with the aftermath…and also got a tutorial and how to tighten up his privacy settings on FB, which he also changed.

He was stupid for posting it in the first place. That bit of news is already out there. Breaking from his actual duties in the face of the worst act of violence in his career to try and cover it up…goes so far beyond inexcusable.

Man up and deal with your personal idiocy after you do you job, sheriff!

Do not believe what you saw with your lying eyes…believe the lies I tell you.

Maybe having a gun nut sheriff who refuses to enforce gun laws attracts crazies to the county?

Dear Sheriff Hanlin,

As someone who has been following news accounts of the so-called Umpqua Community College massacre closely, I’m writing to commend you for actions you’ve taken in the wake of that “tragedy,” and moves you’ve made in the wake of other similar gun “tragedies” here in the United States.

Specifically, after the Sandy Hook massacre you sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden vowing that, as Sheriff of Douglas County, you would refuse to enforce any gun-control measures the federal government might enact, because in your estimation they would violate the U.S. Constitution. Like many others, I believe our country would be a much better place if every sheriff across the nation acted as a mini-Supreme Court, and could pick and choose which laws to follow and which to ignore.

You also posted a link on Facebook to a video that proved the Sandy Hook massacre was a false-flag operation, run by the federal government for the purpose of exciting the masses behind nationwide gun-control legislation. As you undoubtedly understand, ALL of these massacres are giant conspiracies by the feds to sway voters’ in favor of gun-control. NONE of them actually occurred. The supposed victims never really existed; the shootings never happened. All were produced with Hollywood-style special effects and actors.

It is frankly amazing the lengths to which our government will go for the purpose of influencing the sleepwalking masses. And I’m not talking only about what they do with regard to gun laws. Good grief, look at the fraud they perpetrated back in 1969 to persuade the nation that we had actually landed on the moon! That conspiracy has been well documented.

In the wake of the Umpqua shootings, you have declined to “play ball” with the feds by stalwartly refusing to utter the alleged “shooter’s” name. This wise move only furthers to cast suspicion on the entire series of so-called “events.” Eventually, we can expect another “truther” video to emerge that questions whether anyone at Umpqua Community College actually died, or whether there was any shooting there whatsoever. It seems apparent to many of us right now that it was another fake operation designed to rally people around more unconstitutional gun control.

Our nation is fortunate to have public officials such as you who are willing to take a stand and help people realize what is going on. On behalf of all the members of the National Gun Massacre Association, we salute your efforts. Those will help ensure that actions by gun-control nuts who want to prevent future massacres will be futile.

Sincerely,

Arthur Mofodopoulis, Chairman
National Gun Massacre Association
