Douglas County primary election is May 17, 2016 where the good fucked-up Sheriff is on the ballot for a third term. I looked it up. I think those terms are 12 years long too, since heās served two terms that have added up to 24 years in his job already.
Heās hunkering down on this crisis in that community right now, hoping itāll blow over with him at the helm and responsible for protecting the public over this tragedy. I believe his main focus is on how he survives this carnage and gets himself re-elected, so he can continue to get that salary for basically refusing to enforce any serious guns laws in his county. Eh, Meth, gunsā¦its all the same to him. Why have any laws when they donāt solve every single problem in our societyā¦

Southern Oregon is infested with right-wing crazies. I stayed a few days near Crater Lake recently, and the small community I was in had two houses whose lawns were covered with anti-Obama conspiracy signs. When I tried to get a Sunday newspaper at the one convenience store, the owner said he had only one copy of the local paper, which he was busily cutting up to post on his front door for his customers to read ā complete with his hard-right (most anti-Obama) notations in felt-tip pen.

A lot of adamant gun rights supporters donāt care how many innocent folks have to die for them to be able to have any gun they want. Itās just a fucking obsession. The shooters are just the adamant gun rights supporters that cross that final line.
