âmuch less interest in what I call original and investigative in-depth reporting,â
Sharyl, do you mean the Ben Ghazi obsession, the birth certificate insanity, or the Obamacare sign up denial?
Seems to me the only investigations were really just witch hunts that started from one or another of the naysayersâ patent prejudice; racial, political or personal⌠her particular mix of those seems political and personal, not racial, but who knows.
What a load of codswallop. Obama has been relentlessly pilloried by his opponents in both the Congress and the press. More than any president I can rememberâand I can remember them back to Eisenhower.
Jack ya beat me to the reply. Nicely parsed Iâd say.
So when is this liar going to go to Fox?
So I am going to assume she has never looked back at other administrations, like the Bush II, Reagan or certainly Nixon. If she was actually good at her job she would push back not whine.
What, a White House pushes back at someone investigating it? Perish the thought! Never happened before, obviously. But if it does that, Attkisson needs to keep investigating, which is what I learned in journalism school.
CBS wasnât nearly shy enough about breathlessly airing that lying British mercenaryâs Benghazi fabrications. Their credulity bordered on negligence and the whole debacle wouldâve been avoided with a little investigating.
Sorry, Ms. Attkisson, you put a liar on the air and killed your career pursuing Daryl Issa fantasy scandals at CBS. Time for a dye job and a seat at Fox, who so graciously hosted you today.
Quite possibly this administration has flaws that could be the subjects of legitimate investigative journalism, and if, say, Mike Taibbi (or even some investigators from TPM) were pointing the fingers, people with sense would pay attention.
But some ninny who said it while sitting with the Benghazi! Benghazi! Birth certificate! Birth certificate! crew at Fox . . . nope.
The last three weeks have been difficult for all of us snarkists types. I may be a little out of shape but let me just say thisâŚ
BENNNNNGHAAAAAAZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIII!113W2@Q!1112@!!11!2Qq!1!!!1!1!!!1
that felt so dang good!
âThe press in general seems to be very shy about challenging the administrationâ
In contrast to the bold way the media stood up to Bush in Iraq.

But the problem is, is that it would take away too much valuable time from in front of the make-up mirror. And⌠That goes for all talking heads both female and male.

Oh Miss Benghazi canât get her stories published? She may have a point but her insistence on pressing made up stories isnât helping her.
The History of Benghazi:
A month or so after Benghazi, Fox News begins coverage of the Benghazi stand down. âA search of the Nexis database shows that the accusation that these security forces were ordered to âstand downâ was made in 85 segments on the networkâs primetime shows by Fox hosts, contributors, guests, and in video accompanying news reports and commentary.â Fox news speculated that either Obama or Peneta gave the order.
May 7 2013: Maj. Robert Firman, a Pentagon spokesman stated that there âwas never any kind of stand down order to anybody.â
May 8 2013: Hicks testifies a stand down order was given and that he got
that information from Lieutenant Colonel Gibson, confirming Fox News claim. When Hicks was asked where Gibson got that order from Hicks responds that he didnât know.
Same day: a Pentagon spokesman further explained that the security forces in Tripoli âwere told to stayâ in Tripoli to help with the security there.
On June 12, Gen. Martin Dempsey stated " They werenât told to stand down. A stand down means donât do anything. They were told to â that the mission they were asked to perform was not in Benghazi but was at Tripoli Airport."
On June 26, 2013 - The former commander (Gibson) of a four-member Army Special Forces unit in Tripoli, Libya, denied Wednesday that he was told to stand down during last yearâs deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.
June 26, 2013 - FOXâS Special Report with Bret Baier reported on Lt. Col. Gibsonâs testimony debunking the âstand downâ order myth, but never mentioned that the claim was made repeatedly by the network (85 times).
On June 27, 2013 - from the Slate "But now even Republicans are admitting that a âstand downâ order was never given. According to The Associated Press, Gibson told a Republican-led congressional committee on June 26 that he was never ordered to âstand down.â "
January 14, 2014 - REPUBLICAN CHAIRWOMEN SAYS NO STAND DOWN ORDER WAS EVER GIVEN. from declassified transcripts - FOXNEWS reports âRep. Martha Roby, the Republican chairwoman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, concluded: It does not appear that U.S. military forces, units, aircrafts, drones, or specific personnel that could have been readily deployed in the course of the attack in Benghazi were unduly held back, or told to stand down, or refused permission to enter the fight. Rather, we were so badly postured, they could not have made a difference or we were desperately needed elsewhere.â
The official conclusions is what happened.
