This hearing is a complete and utter travesty. Color me surprised. /s

However I did notice one interesting thing: When he was questioned by Leahy his blood pressure went up and his face went flushed. A hell of a tell.

Yeah I’m watching and this hearing is just ridiculous. Senile old Senator Chuck Grassley started the hearing by ranting about how he referred a complaint to the Justice Department about Planned Parenthood selling baby parts, and why didn’t he ever get any response? Well of COURSE he didn’t get a response to a discredited fake news story from felon James O’Keefe.

Ooh… Al Franken is up.

Edit: Sessions was pressured to explain his previous testimony to Franken, when he lied that he “never had discussions with Russians.” Sessions tries to prevaricate, Franken pressures him, then Sessions tries to appeal to Grassley for more time to answer (non-responsively). Sessions tried to paint himself as a victim, while never answering Franken’s questions.

BTW, I recall earlier, Sen. Leahy was pressuring Sessions about whether he understood the LEGAL difference between “No” and “I don’t recall.” Then Sessions answered Leahy’s questions with a variety of “No” and “I don’t recall” answers. That was really odd.

He’s such a bad liar. Clearly he had been at least requested by the Special Council to meet but he either 1) lied about not being interviewed by the SC or 2) postponed any such meeting until after this hearing

It’s nice to see the Dems giving this lying little weasel hell. Conversely, it’s nauseating watching the Rethugs (for all practical purposes) fellate him so publicly.

Mueller will be licking his lips. Sessions won’t be able to baselessly dodge his questions without creating serious problems for himself.
