Discussion: Sessions: 'I Have Not Been Improperly Influenced' By Trump On DOJ Probes

I checked with the possum…it’s OK.

I’m looking at the Sessions picture topping this article. Can’t tell if his eyes are brown, but I’m thinking that they must be because he is definitely full of shit.

So he’s saying that he had not been improperly influenced by Trump’s improper actions intended to influence him

He’s old enough to remember what happened to John Mitchell. His actions as AG may be despicable, but when it comes to taking marching orders from a President who’s heading down the road to impeachment, I suspect that not even Sessions is that stupid.

“I would say that that the Department of Justice can never be used to retaliate against political opponents. That would be wrong,” Sessions said,

It is wrong. It is what SESSIONS and TRUMP are threatening our country with…

First they came for the muslims
And Repub voters said ‘hell yeah’

And then they came for the “gays”
And Repub voters said ‘for they are damned’

And then they came for black people standing (kneeling) against police brutality
And Repub voters said ‘if you’re innocent, the bullets and beatings won’t hurt you’

And then they came for our healthcare
And Repub voters said ‘uhhhh…’

And then they came for the teenage girls
And Repub voters said ‘party over family!’

And then they came for their political rivals
And Repub voters said ‘lock her up!’

And then they came for the air we breath and the water we drink
And the Repub voters said ‘it was cold this month one day, global warming is fake news’

And then they came and took all the money with tax reform
And Repub voters said ‘I don’t understand tax stuff, but hey about my healthcare…’

When the 0.1%'rs are isolated in their walled off, secure complexes of luxury, built from our tax funds.

Will the Repub voters say ‘One day, I’m gonna rape the country and rape people like them!’

These allegations he has been improperly influenced by Trump to appoint special prosecutors to harass or silence his political enemies are scurrilous politically motivated falsehoods! He should appoint a special prosecutor to investigate everyone who’s suggesting he has been improperly influenced by Trump to appoint special prosecutors to harass or silence his political enemies.

So…his last statement. Nobody has to recuse themselves if they keep it secret then?

The issue with this, even if he is being honest is that there is no way to believe this guy. He has little credibility at this point. He has lied a few times to Congress.

And why wait this long? If Clinton did something that fine, but this just seems like the desire to go after political enemies. They want to go after her over something that was not really her call in the first place. If they want to go after the Clinton Foundation than fine, but why a special prosecuter?

"I haven’t been improperly influenced by Trump, although I am doing exactly what he said he wanted me to do even there’s no real factual or legal basis for doing so, given all the facts that are already known which show nothing improper on the part of Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton or the Clinton Foundation. By the way, did I mention I like my job as A.G. and really hope I get a pardon when all the Russian stuff hits the fan.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions entire career after Ted Kennedy and the Democrats shot down Ronald P.T.Barnum Reagan’s nomination of him as a Federal District Judge, has been to exact revenge on the United States Judiciary in his Senator role. Now he thought he would culminate his revenge on Democrats AND squelch the investigation of Trump-Russia. He is a liar, and a coward.

We used to be a nation of laws, but based on what I read this morning about Sessions “investigating Hillary because of the Uranium One” deal I have to conclude we have abandoned first world status to become a banana republic. Next he will start disappearing political opponents.

Kate McKinnon should be investigated by a special prosecutor for sowing doubts about the absolute neutrality of our justice system by making fun of our AG.

"But I will not accept and reject accusations that I have ever lied under oath. That is a lie”

What the F does that even mean. There is additional punctuation that might at least make it parseable, but really.

People – including the fawning Beltway media – need to stop treating Jeff Sessions as a victim of DJT.

Jeff Sessions was chosen for this job for a reason. Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions are fellow travelers. He was the biggest wingnut in the Senate and it’s no accident so many of Trump’s most problematic staff members came from Sessions, including Stephen Miller.

The term to describe Jeff Sessions is “co-conspirator”. “Enabler” would also fit well.

Sessions knows exactly what he’s doing.

Almost a year into this Administration, and you’d think I’d know better by now. I’m surprised almost every day.

Mango Mussolini wants a special prosecutor because that’s exactly what he’s facing. That will appease his “base”.

Then he can say to those who point to his treason with Russia: “I know you are, but what am I?”

Conyers on Tuesday asked Sessions whether he would recuse himself from such a Clinton-related investigation, given his work for the Trump campaign.

“I cannot answer that yes or no, because under the policies of Department of Justice, to announce recusal of any investigation would reveal the existence of that investigation,” Sessions said.

So the Senate has no right to know whether you’ve initiated an investigation? And you can’t answer a hypothetical question about recusal when you haven’t been asked to confirm or deny the existence of said investigation?

Riiiiiiight…

Of course he wasn’t improperly influenced by Trump. Jeffy was hot to trot for it from the git go. Trump had him at “Hillary”.

Also, at another hearing.

Duck and cover, everybody.

“I have not been improperly influenced and would not be properly influenced,” Sessions said at Tuesday’s House Judiciary hearing, while acknowledging that Trump is “bold and direct about what he says.”

Not “improperly influenced” and not “properly influenced” ??? What kind of word salad is that? WTF does that mean? Jefferson Beauregard Session, III is an embarrassment to the human intellect. Aside from being a stupid racist, he’s also an idiotic, stereotypical Southern white man.
