Discussion: Sessions Acknowledges Trump Hasn't Invoked Executive Privilege, But Cites It

I am not pleading the fifth but iam not going to answer certain questions encase i want to plead the fifth at a latter date.

I am guessing that defense wouldn’t work for me in court.

“I’m protecting the right of the President to assert it if he chooses,” Sessions said.

After the fact? I don’t really think it works that way. But then again, I wouldn’t expect our AG to know that.

Whiteboar has the most simple and correct answer I’ve ever seen of the Whiny administration’s entire attitude.

Angus King’s questions were impressive.

every time I hear “witch hunt” from this crew, I always default to the truth: This is Putin’s Bitch Hunt, directed at Putin’s bitch Predisent tRUmp

“I’m protecting the right of the President to assert it if he chooses,”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That may just be the single most absurd thing we’ve heard yet from the cabal involved in trying to cover up the Russian collaboration.

Closet Case Cotton (Bottom-AR) is really starting to annoy me.

Trump’s completely about power. When it becomes obvious that he’s got the votes to beat an impeachment, he won’t even pretend to follow constitutional norms. I think we’re about 2 or 3 months from Trump abandoning the rule of law completely and ruling like an autocrat.

Well that seems to have gone well.

Yikes.

Wonder if Beavis (or is he Butthead?) still thinks Sessions “crushed it”?

Everything I’ve seen from him as a senator is impressive. Though I continue to find the whole Maine fetishization of “independents” and non-partisanship bizarre.

First Rogers, then Pompeo, now Beauregard.

Angus is dealing out some BLOWS

Beauregard’s eventually answer has got to be some of the weakest sauce since that V-8 juice they put on a Pizza Hut pie.

Sessions has given several obvious lies under oath. He’s daring them to hold him in contempt for refusing to answer or bring him up for charges. If the Senate lets it go, every witness Trump sends up will do the same thing.

…again.

It’s weird. I was under the impression that he was an attorney of some kind. But evidently not.

Sessions should thank his lucky stars Whitehouse hasn’t gotten his mitts on him yet. I suspect Judiciary will get a hold of him sooner or later, though.

That’s a cool power. Can I start classifying and declassifying documents, just in case Trumpp gets the itch later? I want to help, and I’m sure Trumpp could use more time for golf.
