Discussion: Senate Votes To Confirm Wilbur Ross As Trump's Secretary Of Commerce

“I’ve negotiated with him over the years and he is not a bluffer,”

No, he’s a reckless blunderer. A Great Dane with positional vertigo and high on ketamine lumbering around in a dominoes toppling competition.

Oh goodie. Another link in the Drumpf-Russian Mafia Money chain.

The special prosecutor is going to be very busy and the world of hurt is going to go very, very deep.

I swear these assholes would confirm Bernie Madoff if he were nominated.

Bonus points to the first joker who posts a “Wilburrrrr” clip from Mr. Ed.

(And, no, I don’t have any self respect. Why do you ask?)

By a vote of 72 to 27, the Senate confirmed Mr. Ross

Now muttering continuously

“Please don’t let it be the usual suspects, please don’t let…”

I was wondering the same thing but couldn’t find it. I wish Esme would’ve just included it in the article. It seems like somewhat important information.

Really disturbing to see how many Dems voted for this turkey unless their strategy is to strengthen the Russian connection. I’m happy to see that neither of my Senators voted for him.

If you haven’t seen Maddow’s (& McKlatchy’s) reporting on this, search it out. It starts connecting a lot of dots from Russia, Cyprus and DeutcheBank. And Wilbur plays a significant role.

Edited spelling to correct from tree to countree.

thank you

i’m shocked that Manchin said no.

However I’m happy that Gillibrand’s ‘streak’ (I think that the only person that she has voted for was Haley) has resumed.

My company just had a meeting about the last quarter of 2016 and although most of our leadership is I’m sure stanch Republican, there were some subtle hints that changes to NAFTA could fuck up our business of selling equipment in Mexico and South America, just when things are cooling off in the US because so many folks have bout all the new equipment they need during the recovery under Obama. Trump seems poised to wreak havoc on the US and businesses. Goddamn I thought we’d finally learned something after Bush nosed dived the economy toward the ground and Obama not only stopped it, but pull us out to a higher level overall if not for everyone.

That was my favorite recurring thing in Mr. Ed. I still imitate Mr. Ed when I catch someone trying to be slick with me.
