Let’s see what happens if one of his victims files charges in Maryland where there is no statute of limitations on rape or attempted rape. It would be super cool to see him perp-walked out of the Supreme Court while hearing a case…

For a scheduled 5 minutes per senator this went on for a damned long time. Or was that 5 minutes for each democrat and as long as any GOPer wanted?

The biased partisan rhetoric should be enough to disqualify him , let alone the misogyny.
But we know this is a feature not a bug for Republicans
Party before country and this jerk is going to piss off a lot of women

I spent the day listening to all this. After listening to Kavanaugh, it finally filtered through to me who he reminded me of - my brother. My brother is good looking, incredibly charming, and could sell ice to Eskimos. People like him. He’s also an alcoholic who began his love affair with the bottle in 8th or 9th grade. His charm only lasts until he disagrees with you about something, then he looks just like Kavanaugh in his opening statement: furious, screaming, insistent. IOW, a bully of the first order. It’s always, “I’m right, you are out of your mind.” Nothing is his fault, he never takes responsibility for anything that isn’t an accolade. This is not someone I’d want on the Supreme Court even if he weren’t a sexual predator.

He’s already sunk. The GOP just wants to go through the motion of ending it so that they can move on. I’m not sure if they realize how bad of a spectacle Kavanaugh’s performance was today, but I guess will all find out what people really thought of all of this in just under six weeks.

Remember that Kavanaugh was nominated for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court by a President who lost the popular vote. Kavanaugh is being pushed through by the Majority party in the Senate that represents just 18% of the population, almost all wealthy white men.

He has as much chance of being impeached and convicted once he is on the bench as Clarence Thomas has had for the last 30 years.

Our Constitution is failing.

Republicans. The Part of Family Values.

I wonder if soon-to-be Justice Kavanaugh is okay with other boys doing his ‘respectful’ acts with his daughters as they grow up. Apparently. Poor kids.

Welp. The big show is over. Now we get back to the hurried preordained result that was never in doubt.

I guess we should all be going high, now.

It was interesting that he went directly to the Clarence Thomas strategy of being outraged that he would be questioned. He didn’t have the benefit of the race card, but he was working with a majority that was less inclined to consider rejection so the strategy was as effective as they expected. He also played to his base by complaining about how Democrats caused all of his troubles.

A day of disaster apparently will not stop this confirmation.
Well, I hope about two or three GOP senators have souls. Or significant others that can prevail on them.
