Who is he kidding? The mantra will be the same as the last 8 years. Obstruct, obstruct, and obstruct. They will block any and all Clinton appointments to the Supreme Court if they have the majority.
Good to see more admissions from the republicans that this is nothing other than obstructionist tactics. The statement that a Trump win would lead to considering nominees shows they care about party more than country.
If Hillary wins, the Republicans are going to declare out and out war against the Executive Branch.
It’s going to be ugly in a way that made the Obama years look like a lovefest.
“We need to see what happens at the election”
Understatement of the year!
Come on voters, take the senate away from these worthless fools!
Then let’s take that majority away from them, shall we?
I keep wondering if the Supreme Court could actually step in and order the Senate to do their actual job…
Not if the FBI has anything to do with it.
At least Clinton won’t have to pretend, the way Obama tried to in his first term, that the GOP leadership is acting in good faith.
I think she should target the remaining “moderate” republicans in Congress, asking each one of them by name to help break the GOP elites’ gridlock, for the good of the country. Win-win.
538 has the Ds a 2 to 1 favorite to retake the Senate. If that happens, and the Rs try to filibuster her first SCOTUS nominee, then that’s actually great – hopefully Schumer will finally get the support he needs to end the filibuster forever. I realize there are liberals who don’t favor that, but the plain fact of the matter is that, historically, the filibuster has been used far more often by reactionaries to block the liberal agenda than vice versa. In the aggregate, ending the filibuster is a net plus for liberals, and we should be for it.
Sadly true!
