They are smart enough to blame it on Democrats and the non-whites who took it all. Their uneducated/bigoted supporters will believe them.

Man, many of these idiots voted for Trump.

Yes! Don’t let Ryan and Price sneak it through. Good to see the Dems not stuck in a defensive crouch.

Don’t count on it. The lack of civic knowledge is dumbfounding.

Thank you Senate Dems.

Thank you Mazie! I have written to you on this, as my Senator, and got no worthwhile reply from your lazy staff. But my message is the same: NO Compromise on SS/Medicare, ever! And I am not even a recipient, this is for all of us.

If it takes arcane procedural moves and points of order to block the Republican hegemony on this, then God bless 'em. Time to see who our heroes are going to be.

I’ve called my Rep on this. Of course being Lamar Smith, it does no good. Neither will a call to my illustrious senators - Cornyn and Cruz. But I do want to ask them what are their reasons for dismantling the safety net that everyone who lives long enough will benefit from. Why do they think privatizing is a good thing? Because their Wall Street owners have demanded it?

18 Senate Democrats. Good Start. Now let’s see where the rest of them come down.

No point. The truth is yes, they want the middle class to lose everything and any vestige of democracy/republic to disappear. But they won’t say that.

The Democrats have been nice guys, taking the high road. Obama and Clinton must have known about the Russian involvement before the election. They knew about the voter suppression. They don’t have the killer instinct that the Republicans have. They won’t go for the jugular. Our Democratic leaders should have been countering the Republicans every move all along. They saw the Republicans’ behavior. They trusted that enough people would connect the dots.

But there was no leadership. And now we are entering a Star Wars prequel without a Princess Leia and losing everything.

Sorry, I’m not saying their voters would be smart enough to realize it or if they were smart enough to acknowledge it, just that, they will be screwed by it, along with a lot of Hillary voters.
