Discussion: Senate Dems Block GOP Effort To Shorten Trump Nominee Debate Time

El Gordon hates Nadler’s ongoing effort to subpoena and by whatever means possible get the 400 pages into the hands of the House. El Gordo thinks Nadler is only proceeding because they have history over real estate in NY decades ago, development projects Nadler effectively quashed. How little he knows about how the House leadership functions.

I read that too, and I think that sentence is pretending to be attributed to the republicans, even though it reads as a factual statement. As usual, AP pretty much only quotes republicans. Because, you know, they’re objective and honest.

Tragedy tomorrow, comity tonight!

Sure, things are going very badly. Very, very badly.

But at least Harry could still have a friendly lunch with Mitch. I mean, sure, hellscape, but is there anything more important than friendship?

I just downloaded some data on this and found:

34 of the 67 judicial nominees before the Senate are for positions that became vacant during the Obama administration. That’s over 50%. This is excluding vacancies under Obama that the GOP party has already filled.

McConnell is upset that Dems are obstructing the seats he obstructed.

When I was a New Yorker, I went to the theatre regularly, and this was one of them.

“McConnell’s republicans blocked 79 Obama nominees with filibusters, compared with 68 in the country’s entire previous history.”
