Discussion: Senate Democrats Dominate Their GOP Counterparts In Campaign Fundraising

Hopefully they find effective ways to spend that money.

The Arizona cash on hand difference is incredible.

The thing that should hearten folks, is not just that we are raising tons of cash (which is needed), but its a very good sign of an energized base. Democrats usually have an advantage in ground games and organizing, while republicans tend to use their money for TV ads and mailings.

We still maintain the ground game advantage (it will probably be significantly stronger in 2018 vs. 2014), but now we will also have the money to offset that airwave money bombing.

This is great news!

It will upset our resident Purity Scolds, though—it doesn’t fit their narrative of Democratic fecklessness and failure.

Whoa! This is looking serious! Now is a GREAT time to run for office!

And run FOR something! Don’t just run against Trump. You’ll either be preaching to the choir or confirming, in some people’s minds, that all ‘librals’ are out to get their man.

Don’t just run on lofty campaign ideals, either- get REAL specific. You want to run on jobs or healthcare reform or the new landfill? You must have a plan. THEN you can point out the difference between having a plan and promising to work on a plan sometime in the future.

Remember 7 years of promises to ‘repeal and replace’? Turns out they didn’t have a plan and rushed to a secret hidey hole for 2 whole weeks, cobbling together a 2-legged tripod.

Do better than this. PLEASE! Run for office!

Great news! Now use it as a campaign issue - my donations have come from grassroots support while my Republican opponent has gotten their cash from sucking the Koch teet.

Go Beto!

If things keep going the way they are going–meaning that the Mueller investigation continues to dog Trump (likely), if Trump continues to be a daily embarrassment to the country (a certainty), and if no major unforeseen incident happens that will derail the big blue tsunami (so far every effort has been hilariously incompetent), I think the House is going to be a blood bath. I also think Tester, McCaskill, Heitkamp, Manchin, and Donnelly are all going to keep their seats. We’ll pick up Nevada, Arizona, and probably Tennessee (Bredesen is a very strong candidate). It’s only February, so a lot could change. By November I’m hoping Ted Cruz is in serious danger.
