This should go well. The question is how much damage the dude can realistically do ahead of a possible Dem administration Jan 2021. Whatever he does will be tied up in court for a while.

Republican Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming, chairman of the Senate
environment committee, called Wheeler “uniquely qualified” and said the
EPA under Wheeler is putting forward proposals that “both protect our
environment and allow the country’s economy to flourish.”
But Democratic Sen. Tom Udall of New Mexico said Wheeler was
“nominated to unravel and undo the environmental protections that are
now in place.”

The mashup version gets to the heart of the matter:

“uniquely qualified … to unravel and undo the environmental protections that are
now in place.”

If they keep fracking, this won’t just be a punchline. This shit is getting serious. My god, the carnage is already mind boggling, how much more can the country take? SMH…

ETA: On a road trip in 2016, we were out in the boonies of Wyoming (and other states) and YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE the number of fracking wells we saw. It was breathtaking, and I thought I knew how much fracking was going on. Mindboggling, I tell you… :scream:

Working as designed, and will continue to occur until the next version of the U.S. Senate is seated in 2021. I wonder if the country can survive until then.

Yeah, how long until they start selling off land in National Parks and National Forests for development?? I mean, we have a (nominal) real estate developer in the Oval Office so really…how long before that happens??? Jesus, it might have already happened and its just under wraps until the media can catch a whiff of the scent. IDK…SMH…

Much like Jeffrey Dahmer was uniquely qualified as an anatomist.

If Trump nominated El Chapo to lead the DEA, we all can expect his trained seals in the Senate to praise his “unique qualifications” to lead.

Was actually surprised at Collins and especially Manchin’s vote, but then again, they both knew this a safe vote for passage. McConnell probably let them do it too.

In one way, I see President Trump’s appointments as a public service to those of us interested in getting educated on the Who’s Who of Corporate Greed. He is, effectively, outing all these guys and we, in turn, can more easily see who we might turn our activist gazes on. I much prefer having a person’s name and photograph than a snapshot of a corporate sign in front of a corporate building.

One more step in the Trumpian/GOP effort to destroy America.

GOP = Government of Putrification

When the coal association gives you fulsome praise, that’s pretty much all anyone needs to know these days.
