So if Obama supposedly “abused those powers,” why not impeach him?
This little kabuki show the fundamental bullshit going on… Sessions and the GOP want to have it both ways—“Obama’s a turrible dictator who wants to eat white babies for breakfast, but we’re not going to do anything about it, neither.”

If for even one second the republicans really believed President Obama overstepped his authority they would have no hesitation to impeach him. Sessions is full of shit.

I’ve been wondering all day about the general Republican non-response. For months they’ve been saying this would be an absolutely outrageous abuse of presidential power, there would be disastrous repercussions, basically the world would end three or four times in a row and so forth. I thought there’d be this deafening howl of rage if Obama actually went forward. And all day today? Nothin’. You’d almost think a bunch of loudmouth bullies just got their bluff called and don’t have a goddamned clue what to do about it.

They have to say this until the conservatives on the SCOTUS give them their politicized decision on the suit they filed today. Once they do, though, the articles of impeachment will be on the floor of the House within hours.
After all, they’ve already been written. I guarantee it.
