Yeah, well, I guess you should have thought of that earlier.

Something is afoot.
So, how about instead of resigning, they make Al work on and implement the sexual harassment courses soon to be required for congress? Will THAT fix it for ya lady Dem Senators?
I hope he stays no matter what.

There needs to be a retirement age for US Senators and Reps…limit them to retire by age 70! We have too many senile old white men stuck in office thanks to gerrymandering and rigging the Russian voting system.

Leahy needs to retire…as do all the others over age 70. This will also make sure they don’t cut Medicare for seniors…take away their very very generous special employee retirement benefits and let them depend on Medicare and the system won’t get cut.

Under the current system, and there is no personal incentive to make sure Suzie Collins isn’t lying to Maine.

Yeah, fuck off Leahy. You failed your role as a member of a deliberative body by knee-jerking off and destroying a guy who had a future in American politics.

I am disgusted. Leahy, you were HEAD OF THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE for years and you just ‘thought’ of this?

Cant Franken UnResign? Or is it done deal?

Nevertheless, today I am announcing that, in the coming weeks, I will be resigning as a member of the United States Senate.

“In the coming weeks” could be a lot of weeks.

I imagine there is some sort of paperwork he’d have to sign to make it official. Perhaps he could announce he’ll resign in 4 years worth of weeks when he is up for reelection.

Franken could decide to not resign at any time, until he officially is gone.

The people of Minnesota need to urge him to stay.

Then undo it.
If you have any balls.
Or spine.
Or character.

Yes he can and he has been asked to:
Former Gov. Arne Carlson says Franken should remain in Senate until legal process done

Franken urged to reverse his resignation
The demands from Democrats that he step down were ‘the most hypocritical thing I’ve ever seen done to a human being,’ Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) says.

People are supporting Franken and asking him to reconsider. Add your voice. Here is his St. Paul office phone number-(651) 221-1016

If you have trouble with the email because of the zip code out in a Minnesota zip code and state if you live o outside Minnesota.

Also, if your senator is a Democratic write and tell them to support Franken. It’ time for the public to speak and tell their leaders to follow the will of the people not their own distorted sense of morality.

I think we’re all going to regret thar this was done but most especially women. This removed any semblance of process in the matter. Going forward this will make it harder for us to have our reports believed if there is no actual process involved. I already see hints of relegating this wave of revelations to “hysteria “.

Wait a minute. Don’t all innovative businesses owe their success to relying on the majority of its employees being in their 70s and 80s?

@redpill If you have a Twitter account you can send him a tweet at @SenFranken.

Or fax him FREE from you smartphone or computer.

I could not agree more. It’s outrageous. These senior citizens need to be ignored like the rest of the marginalized senior citizens in this country (I’m joking). Franken was one of the few “young” ones - sharp enough to catch Jeff Sessions in his lies. Was everyone else asleep? I’m looking at you, Feinstein (not to mention the others, but they’ll croak on the floor rather than retire) … enough already.

Brilliant idea! That certainly falls within the range of ‘coming weeks’

Counts me out on calling/emailing my automaton wax figure of evil and the guy who’s neighbor beat him up.

I’ve already emailed Al, so I’ll toss a few emails to Dem Senators in other states. Starting with Klobuchar.

The situational ethics here doesn’t bother me as much as the equating of allegations with proof. That pic was sophomoric but showed no actual touching plus it was on a USO tour when silliness in service of entertaining troops is the norm.

A flak jacket will protect those boobs from being touched. Oh wait…she was wearing one, wasn’t she?
