Discussion: Sen. Landrieu Voted Against Making Harry Reid Minority Leader

Discussion for article #230148

Her and Machin were made for each other. Both are cowards, not true Democrats. She needs to lose; I hope he loses next. They should just become republicans and get the hell out of the party.

Couldn’t agree more; with dems like that, who needs the rethugs?

The hilarious part being Reid almost certainly told her to do so.

Of course she will be voted out. All this pathetic groveling will be for nothing.

You know, you’re right.

He probably told anyone in the caucus that is even slightly in danger in the next 2 years to do it.

But just on the chance that she did it of her own initiative…

This is unlikely to help Landrieu keep her seat.

I don’t understand why this happening now. These people still have terms to fill out.

Sorry sorry I thought I lived in parallel dimension where politicians gave more of a crap about the people they represented than their jobs

I am not going to miss the woman

Of course she did. I, for one, will be glad to be done with her.

I am soooooo looking forward to her losing. She is hideous. She should just join the reTHUGlican party…and the turtle dissed her today on the senate floor…LMAO

Buh-bye.

Exactly, it’s a (no doubt vain, unfortunately) attempt to position herself for the runoff, just like the Keystone vote is.

Hopefully they at least made sure that Obama would veto a Keystone approval beforehand, although I don’t have any faith that that’s the case…but it would have come up for a vote pretty quickly anyway once the new Senate was sworn in.

Don’t understand the vitriol for Landrieu here. She’s a Blue Dog Democrat in a very red state, and there’s no way she’s going to stay in office with a voting record that makes liberals (me included) happy. (And there’s probably little chance she stays in office anyway.) But every seat in the Senate is important these days and worth the attempt to hang on to, to make it that much easier to retake it in 2016.

of course she did… landrieu is only about saving her own ass. fine by me if she loses. these blue dogs’ time has come and gone; their only role these days is to undermine any progressive initiatives of the democrats. they need to be marginalized instead of pandered to.

McCaskill, Landrieu and Manchin.

Three reasons we can’t have nice things.
