Discussion: Sen. John Walsh Drops Out Of Senate Race

Discussion for article #226110

I have a mansion, forget the price
Ain’t never been there, they tell me it’s nice
I live in hotels, tear out the walls
I have accountants pay for it all

They say I’m crazy but I have a good time
I’m just looking for clues at the scene of the crime
Life’s been good to me so far

Simply and utterly pathetic. “Democrats” like this are yet another affirmation to me that I made the right choice in walking away from the “Party” in 2010. “Democrats” like this give me no reason whatsoever to feel that I could, would, or should trust them with any sort of “leadership” position for the Nation as a whole. But then, Democrats enjoy being the “We can’t do anything, we’re spineless!” Party, because they are still living out the “excuse” that they made for themselves in 2010. Which is why they are about to lose in 2014, in the hope that the Mystical Magical Clinton Fairy will come flying along in 2016, and make it all better with just one wave of her magic wand.
It isn’t just Walsh who is pathetic. Democrats ought to register on the ballot as the “Pathetic National Party.” At least that way, they’ll have some chance of garnering a sympathy vote that will exceed their regular turn out.

I need more information here. What happens next? They’ve already held the primary. Can they hold a new one? What’s Schweitzer said about all this? Is he smart enough to realize that in a soon-to-be-failed presidential bid being former Governor and current Senator Brian Schweitzer sounds better than former Governor Brian Schweitzer?
Stay tuned for more Guiding Light.

Your status as a concern troll is duly noted.

It’s “Democrats” like you who let Republicans win.

Thanks to your intellectual thievery, genius, you’ve just handed the GOP another seat in the Senate.

Any chance of a non-shitbag Dem with a chance of winning making it in here?

“Simply and utterly pathetic”

Thank you for clearly denoting the content of your message right at the very beginning. It saves us time from having to read rest of your whine.

I have always thought that turning his nose up at running for the Senate if he is going to run for President was a stupid mistake. Get the national party a very big win and have a national stage for two years from which to launch your campaign? Whats not to like about that scenario?

But I would be quite surprised if he does step in now.

As far as what they do now, I am not sure if that’s legal matter for Montana, or a rules issue for the state party.

I am sorry to tell you this, but Walsh wasn’t going to beat Daines anyway. Schweitzer is the only Democrat in Montana that really had/has a shot at winning that seat.

I read in another article that their will be a convention of some 150 elected officials, county party leaders and the like and they have to submit a name by August 20. We can only hope Schweitzer steps up.

Former governor, pro-gun pita, and current Chairmen of a mining company, Brian Schweitzer? The guy with terminal foot-in-mouth disease?

Him running would come with some unintended consequences as well, I’m sure. But better than giving up all together.

I’ll take a corpse with Tourette’s if it means keeping the Majority.

So, does that diatribe mean that you think the Republican party is just swell?

Troll hasn’t really thought that through, yet.

Montana Democrats are well and truly screwed by this nincompoop. Why in the hell wasn’t Walsh vetted more closely to begin with, I wonder? Damn, damn, damn.

Yes, much better to elect people that get us involved in unnecessary wars and torture, reduce rights for women and minorities, and, just for a cherry on top, ruin the economy.

Good luck to you.
