Discussion for article #223177
No matter what happens a lot of Mississippi Republicans or Tea Party Members are going to stay home in November. I wonder if the Democrats might give Cochran or McDaniel a scare this fall.
If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas…
It doesn’t matter if you were involved…he’s your buddy. You are linked.
When you have an abundance of out-of-state cash funding your campaign, you can buy “blame the victim” ads on television. Time was, in the days of “equal time” TV politics, this sort of hideous politicking did not get on the air. Time to peel back the onion layers on this McDaniel jerk.
The whole state of Mississippi is going to need a shower after this election cycle.
Nice little logo of his name, where part of the M is on fire. I bet he wishes his name started with a T, so he could use a burning cross instead.
I believe the only truly appropriate response to the actions of Mr. McDaniel would be, “What a dick!”
Hey, I know it ain’t Shakespeare, but it gets the point across.
I love it when a candidate’s slogans contain their own contradictions: “…repeal Obamacare entirely… and stand up for working families.”
For ten points, and the lead, what’s wrong with this statement?
The soft-focus lighting is always a nice touch for a politician in deep doo-doo. “Why, he just looks so nice!”
At least the parts that have indoor plumbing
From my limited travels in the state, there are entire regions that could benefit from the introduction of indoor plumbing. This may tip the balance in favor of hygene.
at this point, the only people who will be voting for Chris McDaniel will be the people who believe that the whole twisted thing was McDaniel’s idea - and are support him for doing it … which means that in the realm of Mississippi ultra conservative GOP primary contests, this could be close.

If he spelled out his whole name there would be a T to set on fire.
Spoken like a true repug, lie cheat and steal, but blame the other guy for doing it.
Can’t wait for the FAKE APOLOGY, you know it’s coming.
Chris McDaniel’s biggest regret is the they were not able to get either:
(1.) graphic close-up footage of a large bed sore on Mrs. Cochran
or
(2.) a short clip of her looking into the camera in a bewildered manner and slurring “where is my husband…?..”
Chris McDaniel would have jumped for joy if they could have run with that …of course denying responsibility the whole time.
The epitome of a Mississippi junk yard bulldog.
Senator Cochran was the bastard who had a wife suffering from dementia. He knew it would lure one of our lunatic members to photograph her decrepit condition as part of a sleazy depraved smear campaign tactics that Tea Partiers use to win public office. By using her illness to entrap our nasty campaign supporters, Senator Cochran must take responsibility for our sleazy actions and tricking us to lie about it to the press. It is truly Senator Cochran’s fault for his unwillingness to accept the blame and personal responsibility for what we did.
Accuse your target of that very thing which you, yourself, do.
That is very typical stalker behavior, to say nothing of its use by tyrants throughout history.
