Buying isn’t exactly the point. I think the judge will count it in Michael’s favor.

Cohen’s been actively trying to show that that is where he’s coming from for months with his criticisms of Trump policies. He’s smart and so his lawyer. Manafort should have taken a page from Cohen but no, Manafort wanted to play games.
I think that should be “but nooooooooooo”.
I continue to be impressed by Mr. Cohen’s concerted redoubling of efforts to begin the difficult journey of investigating ways to consider directing his attorney to commence the full enumeration of ways to imagine he might think about obscuring deficits of meaning with surpluses of words.
It should have.
It’s still early and I’m still gathering my thoughts. hahahaha
Desperate people do desperate things.
Manafort wanted to play Risk.
Too few. Add more. It still kinda makes sense.
I never thought that Cohen was all that smart, but he seems to have quite the aptitude for self preservation. All those taped conversations kindof imply that he never fully trusted Trump, or maybe, he didn’t trust anyone. I’m guessing his buddy Sater was a big influence in choosing to flip instead of counting on Trump to come through with a pardon. Trump uses pardons the way he uses everything he has done as president- as a tool for his own benefit. Loyalty is a one way street for Trump and Cohen knew Trump well enough to figure that out.
Cohen knows a lot about Trump. The stuff he knows that could be charged by the state instead of feds are especially sweet, IMO. I suspect Cohen will be especially useful in the “perjury trap”, catching Trump in lies on his written answers to Muleller’s questions. Rudy truly must be getting senile to think that Mueller didn’t know that Manafort’s lawyer was feeding stuff straight to team Trump. Maybe the best thing Cohen did was to co-operate with Mueller in ways that Mueller wanted until he got Trump’s written answers. While everyone, including the press, was focused on the 10 day delay in Manafort’s sentencing, it is no co-incidence that Cohen’s guilty plea was just after the written answers were submitted.
He is such an idiot. Manafort could have saved himself from some of this but he just can’t stop being Manafort and he is so fucking crooked and nasty one of his daughters changed her name.
Seeking To Avoid Prison, Cohen Points To Cooperation With Feds, NY Attorney General

One of his daughters is smart.
Good for her

The people on the legal team. They were suborning perjury, and depending on the conversations, quite possibly guilty of witness tampering too. And yes, there is a criminal conspiracy unveiled here too.
I am not sure if it has been definitely determined who was on that “legal team”. I have seen McCahn’s name pop up, which if true, creates even more nightmares for him personally.
Regardless of who, however, they are all in serious hot water with their respective Bars for severe ethics violations, which probably won’t matter if they get convicted of the felony counts they logged.
Crimes, not errors.
Here’s the thing… Whittaker is only an Acting Attorney General. Mueller knows he’s a temporary blip, and that Whittaker’s appointment will end in a few months (because under the Vacancy Act, he is ineligible to be a nominee for Attorney General on a permanent basis). Consider this … Whittaker did zilch to quash these new Cohen charges/plea deal. Rosenstein informed Whittaker about what was going on — he didn’t ask for permission.
Looks like Rosenstein is still in charge of Mueller, and more importantly, still giving Mueller plenty of time to work.
I do not think Whitaker is going to do anything besides stand around looking scared.
He came in at just the wrong time for him - everything is getting exponentially worse for the WH. If Whitaker makes one move in the wrong direction he’s apt to get charged with something that loses him his law license.
Keep Michael talking. Get every damn drop of testimony out of him. I don’t care if they eventually fake his suicide, put him in the witness protection program, reconfigure his face, and send him to Tahiti. His testimony is vital to bringing down Trump and his crime family. VITAL. And nothing else matters.
KEEP MICHAEL TALKING.
I’ve read everything about that report and testimony. Let’s just suppose there is a pee pee tape. Suppose someone releases it. OK, now what? We going to impeach him because as a private citizen he hired some hookers to pee on a bed in Russia?
Don’t think that’s going to happen. It won’t change any minds of hard core Trump supporters, he might even get a boost with his base. In order to make any case of impeachment, Russians or someone in the Trump campaign would have to admit Russia blackmailed him over the tape and they conspired with Trump to do whatever necessary to win the election. What are the odds of that happening? I’d put the odds at slim to none. Trump now has the ultimate trump card… the Supreme Court. He will fight like hell, he won’t admit nothing.
Excellent point.
