Proof that the worthless HHS sec’y Price was lying through his teeth when he dismissed the CBO numbers. Secretary Price resign b*tch.
They may have kept it secret for Price, too …
Sort of “Best Case” description, really…
Hang in there. I am self-employed, got gouged worse and worse year after year by Blue Cross. Finally crossed the finish line to Medicare. THANK YOU LBJ!
“Then next year we repeal Medicaid and Social Security!!”
Let’s say Trumpcare puts $40 billion a year back in the pockets of the 0.1% most wealthy persons in the US and let’s say it does not bother them to have people dying at the curb. Even so, it’s chump change to these people. They control about a sixth of the entire planet’s wealth. Why would they exhange greater social instability and crowd control demands for a mere $40 billion a year?
No wonder Ryan loves the CBO estimate. Based on the secret administration internal report, he knows the CBO figures are actually low and is ecstatic that more will lose coverage. Never have I despised this charlatan more. What a piece of evil slime posing as a wonk!
I hate these mutherfuckers. Hate them. Devising a plan to gut sick people’s healthcare is one of the lowest places for a politician to go. I get the philosophical differences between progressives and “conservatives,” etc., the costs, monetarily and other – but what I don’t comprehend is their lying about the details … even the details of their own analysis, especially when those results almost perfectly dovetail with the results of the CBO analysis. Why they have such disdain for their fellow less fortunate human beings, I don’t understand.
For a time in my youth, I attended Bible Study. I ended it after a particular incident involving racism toward a friend of my sibling – but I actually enjoyed the studies. I got a lot out of them. The morality lessons I took away from those studies are in direct opposition to what these politicians exhibit – yet these same people will swear to us that they are God-fearing, walk-with-Jesus types. I don’t believe that for a second. I am not a religious person, but I can recognize true faith and being true to that faith. If Jesus ever existed, He would not condone what these GOP politicians are doing. Seriously, shame on them. Hell awaits.
I don’t like this meme. There I said it.
My word, that accompanying picture! It looks like a lame a cappella performance .
To borrow from " Psych" : " worst boy band ever."
Anyone care to name that tune they are singing?
Given that I don’t believe in the next life, I hope they receive their just rewards in this life—and soon.
Donald isn’t concerned about taking back his insistent campaign promises. He’ll just claim he never made them, leading pundits to speculate for weeks whether or not he did.
Nor is he concerned about devastating the economy or wrecking millions of lives. Victims are losers, opportunities for him to pick up great deals.
This devastation of the country is Trump’s plan.
Stock tip of the day : BUY REVLON !
THE GOP IS GOING TO USE A LOT OF LIPSTICK DRESSING UP THE PIG !!
wait wait wait wait
When the economy tanks and we all get laid off, that number goes up
Trump will sign this,he loves yyugh numbers.
This is almost as bad as the Catfood Commission that the Pukes wanted set up to deal with the deficit way back in the early days of the Obama administration. Its main focus was to destroy Social Security on the backs of the poor and elderly while sustaining Bush era tax cuts to the rich. The idea in part was to raise the retirement age. For hard-working Americans that meant practically no years of receiving the benefits they were promised that they paid into, even as the GOP was fine with also reducing the actual payout for those benefits. It was all a farce…and everyone knew it. The lies they told were all based on shifting the tax burden while helping to benefit the wealthy. It didn’t deal with deficits or extend the life of Social Security or the social safety net. It was in reality a ruse. The numbers just never added up. Just like the numbers for this pile of shit. This is just another iteration of the same gameplan.
Same old, same old. Just packaged with new wrapping paper.
Beginning to believe the GOP is the biggest threat to America. They knew. They lied. They will never change. They will ALWAYS put the rich above ‘ordinary’ Americans, ALWAYS protect their positions of power and wealth knowing we’ll just keep sending them back to DC.
There’s 9 or 10 ways we can fix this so it never happens again (for another 50 years, anyway):
Become a Precinct Committee Officer, sometimes it’s a Ward office. You’ll meet with neighborhood Dems and get out the vote. Find good citizens willing to run for office.
Register people to vote. If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led Voter run-around help them do that.
Run for School Board. Make sure Civics is being properly taught. Think a majority of America knows how government works? Today’s 12-year olds will be voting for President in 8 years.
Run for City Council, County Commissioner, Bureau Assembly.
Get appointed to your Planning Commission. Know everything going on in your community.
Run for State Legislature or Congress. The next census is in 2020, then we’ll redraw Congressional Districts. Get rid of GERRYMANDERING! Safe GOP seats gave us such intellectual giants as Louie Gohmert and Steve King. In most cases it’s the state Legislature that draws Congressional boundaries. Make it FAIR, OPEN and HONEST!
Get rid of every stinking voter ID law in the land. The DEFAULT should be the ease of casting your legal vote.
We can finally put paid to the GOP’s fantasy of ‘running government like a business’, so let’s get people in there interested in helping Americans in general, helping govern the country, not just handing out generous tax breaks to the chosen few.
Overturn Citizens United. Money is NOT speech and Corporations are NOT people- at least not until Texas executes one.
So the Republicans are correct that the CBO estimate is wrong and cannot be trusted. It is 26 million who will lose their insurance.
The first nickname “Have a big bite of this Shit Sandwich Care” was a little too long.
