Discussion: Secret Service Considered Leaking Failed Job App To Discredit GOPer

Discussion for article #241238

Even political hacks like Chaffetz get privacy rights. Sometimes people just don’t get it.

Obviously a false flag to divert from disastrous performance yesterday over PP.

So what embarrassing stuff is on his job application? Once worked at White Castle?

He needs some eye drops for those red eyes or he needs to quit smoking weed

a Mormon with skeletons in his closet? I hope he knows whatever it is will come out if he tried to take Hatch’s seat

My guess would go to fitness.

I’m not only referring to the obvious issues with mental areas, like ‘judgment’, ‘thinking ahead’, and ‘consequences’. Recall Chaffetz was one of those early “Better Know A District” congressman guests on The Colbert Report. After Colbert had spent some time mercilessly panning Chaffetz on his bullshit attacks on migrant workers (“Congressman, when did rounding up people you don’t like in your country and putting them in camps get a bad name?”), Chaffetz brought up that he’d been a "place kicker’ on his college football team, SOOOOO Colbert challenged Chaffetz to a leg wrestle. Colbert - who never even tried out for any school athletics or team sport and has done countless routines on how he’s never played any sport and can’t do any of them, of course cleaned the floor with the lame-brained immigrant-bashing braggart dickwad.

This is distressing especially in light of the fact that all that was really required to discredit this fool was to let him open his shady cakehole.

OMG, something more embarrassing than just being Jason Chaffetz???

Actually, I’m wrong: it was Chaffetz that challenged Colbert. And after Colbert beat him, Chaffetz asked for ‘2 out of 3’, and of course Colbert beat him again - easily.

Chaffetz gave an interview discussing this where he called Colbert “freakishly strong”. Well, freakishly in not a bragging lying GOP p.o.s., anyway.

Yeah, Chaffetz is an idiot and an SOB, and deserves everything he gets in the political sphere, but it’s just plain scary to think that a federal agency with that kind of reach doesn’t have more people willing to stand up and say, “no, this is plain wrong and if the idea goes out of this room I’m alerting the IG and the Congressman.”

What made them take their eyes off the whore?

Okay, so certain Secret Service members wanted to retaliate against Chaffetz for investigating their agency. I think we can all agree that’s wrong. But what the hell was Chaffetz doing investigating the agency in the first place? You get turned down for a government job and then, a decade later when you get elected to Congress, you go after the agency that rejected you?!? Yes, the Secret Service needed investigating. But disgruntled reject Chaffetz ought to have recused himself.

Oh brother. Now we’ll be treated to Teatrolls and Faux News yammering about Obama being behind it and using the SS to retaliate “just like another SS we all know about” and ridiculous comparisons and resurrection of the IRS/Lois Lerner nontroversy. Sigh…

Chaffetz told the AP that Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., would conduct any congressional oversight hearings into the matter.

Cool! Maybe we can tie it to Hillary.

Oh, nothing could be more embarrassing than that spectacular Congressional mugging he performed against Planned Parenthood.

Seriously, every Republican appearance on tv should be accompanied by parental warnings.

As a minimum, Deputy Director Lowry should be immediately dismissed.

Plus Chaffetz looks like he has lady lips imo.

Kind of interesting timing on this article by AP considering what a jackass Chaffetz made of himself just yesterday. If this is a way to somehow exonerate him from his rude behavior towards Cecil Richards in that 5 hour hearing, this won’t do it. Even though what the SS did was wrong, I’m glad they rejected him. Its obvious to anyone now why they chose to do so. He’s a fucking jerk.

I disagree. Chaffetz is McCarthyesque…as long he’s set on recklessly wrecking lives and institutions his own reputation is fair game
