Discussion: SEC Dropped Inquiry Into Financial Firm That Gave Kushner Cos. $180M Loan

This is a family of amoral thugs and traitors folks. The Trump family crime syndicate is stealing our public lands, looting our treasury, selling our military secrets, intelligence sources and methods and rigging our democracy.

sounds like there is a whole bunch of people playing musical chairs on this one.
Covering there butts is the long game.
Just follow the money from the original idea to the finished deal.
Who benefited, who got screwed and who is scared to the death the truth comes out. Which it will, sooner or later.

This kinda thing happened all the time in the (fill in the blank) administration.

The SEC, which often makes such inquiries of financial firms, didn’t respond immediately to a request for comment.

Kushner needs to be indicted by the NY Attorney General.

Once out of the reach of his father-in-laws pardon power, I think this young man will become very cooperative.

LIBERAL BIAS to try to hold TRUE CONSERVATIVES to “conflict of interest” RULES made up by LIBERALS. ONLY liberals should have to follow those rules. NOT FAIR!!! CONSERVATIVES believe in TRADITIONAL AMERICAN values, such as “there’s a sucker born every minute” and “take the money and run!” WE NEED TO DRAIN THE SWAMP OF THESE ETHICS LAWS!!!

And to top it all off, at the same time that Putin is announcing he has missiles that can hit California, donnie is tweeting about Alec Baldwin. We have no leadership, no diplomacy, we are so damn vulnerable right now. And yet the Repubs do nothing.

Well, that swamp is certainly being drained…Should be completely dry any day now.

Maggie Haberman of the NYT (Maureen Dowd without the journalistic integrity or the infectious charm):
BOTH SIDES DO IT!!! MY SECRET SOURCE “BARANKA BUMP” TOLD ME SO!!!
Yeah, if “both sides” are the Trump administration and the Cosa Nostra!

“I suppose the best case for Kushner is that this looks absolutely terrible,” said Rob Weissman, president of Public Citizen.
That is an understatement. These deals are squealing like a stuck pig in a closed barn.

In other news, The Intercept (hmm) reports that father Kushner hit the Qatar govt up to bail them out of 666 Fifth Avenue. A month after he was turned down, Jared advises Trump to support the Saudi blockade, against Tillerson’s diplomacy. Trump does so, and even writes some nasty tweets. Tillerson not pleased.

NYT reports Trump is asking Kelly to get rid of both J and Ivanka. “Ivanka has reportedly irked other White House aides, including Kelly, by exploiting her role as first daughter.” (DB)

What a surprise that Ivanka is pissing people off with her “daughter” act. Again.

One should not make light of assault in prison, but if Jared - a person I despise only slightly less than ebola and Papa John’s pizza - is sent to prison beyond his father-in-law’s reach, I hope his cellmate is hung like a gay porn star.

Explain to me why a change in administrations should have anything to do with whether some enforcement action or another moves forward? Are we really a banana republic? Have we abandoned our commitment to the “rule of law?”

Also, Jared made a direct pitch to the finance minister of Qatar for a loan. He was refused and shortly afterwards supported Saudi Arabia’s move to blockade Qatar.

I find Jared’s attempts to match and even outdo his father-in-law in corruption impressive and inspiring. Really, it’s like Telemachus following in the footsteps of Odysseus.

The gratuitous slap at Papa John’s in much appreciated.
