Discussion: Sean Spicer: Scaramucci's Disastrous New Yorker Interview ‘Proved My Point’

Spicer went on to say:

“It wasn’t like I had anything against Donald. I didn’t feel — Donald has been very successful in business, he’s made a ton of money. but I didn’t feel as though he had the qualifications or the background to work in the oval office,” he said. “And my view was if I’m going to have to partner with somebody that I don’t believe had the skill set to execute the job, then it was incumbent on me to either step aside or make my voice known.”

I was pissed off that Hurricane Irma knocked out our electricity and phone/Internet/television service over the past several days.
But now…

Wait 'til Spicer appears on SNL opposite Melissa McCarthy - it’s inevitable.

He says he thinks Sarah HS is doing a good job of improving the tone between the press and the WH… on the same day that she called for ESPN to fire an anchor.

Spicer, you weren’t so great in your WH job either.

1 / Spicer was right once (about Scaramucci) and he now expects praise.

2 / He is so stupid that he doesn’t see that even an atrocious first tell-all book about Pres. Tramp is an easy $5 million. Why is he not scribbling one with Tony Schwartz, the guy who actually wrote THE ART OF THE DEAL and is now trying to atone for it?

3 / Please notice that Spicer offers zero awareness of what a pus-filled boil Tramp is on the rump of America and that all deviance comes from him and is defining America downward.

Yeah, ironic eh?

Mendacity Spice, shill for hire…

Nothing is too demeaning or over the top…

That’s exactly what I thought too! Spicer quit out of spite, not principle.

Oh Spicey…I am all for you making the rounds for your rehabilitation tour but…
“If we don’t want to lump every journalist into the same thing (as fake news) then don’t lump every Republican and conservative into the same box’…
POT meet KETTLE. You led the pack for the last eight years in the ‘ALL DEMOCRATS ARE EVIL’ fight…

Stop accurately quoting Republicans and conservatives!

I disagree, he was great, just not in the traditional sense.

Go away Spicey. You’ve had your 15 minutes…and 14 of those were taken by McCarthy.

Agreed and it sorta makes me sick how folks are trying to spin his departure as him leaving on his own accord and feeling sorry for him. The guy was awful at his job, told a blatant lie right out of the gate and when presented with evidence otherwise, he doubled down. He carried trump’s water at the expense of his own credibility and continues to do so. People sure forget easily what an asshole Spicey was and why no one in the press bought the shit he was peddling.

He’s flailing around for a new money tit. Maybe Melissa McCarthy will feel sorry for him and put in a good word at CAA.

And more importantly, he is more or less receiving it. Spicer is being treated with kid gloves by the media…a media that he attacked on a near daily basis, btw. Spicer is not some likable Charlie Brownish character, he voluntarily abased himself, told outrageous lies and attacked the media mercilessly.

Do NOT let him get away with a character rebuliding tour, and is equal parts attempts to reclaim his own dignity and equal parts trying to present the GOP as mostly respectable people who are “dismayed” about some of Trump’s actions and statements. They aren’t, and he is beyond redemption.
