Discussion: Sean Hannity Defends Donald Trump From The Big, Bad Press

Hey, there are reports that the campaign is running out of money… they’re sitting on the funds that were donated by others… I’m just saying I wouldn’t put it past him.

Better to inform a moderator, so that our precious threads don’t get cut off temporarily.

Maybe none of the above
Actually I think the veterans who were outside nailed it. One of them said “Trump stop using veterans as a political prop. Trump doesn’t care about veterans only what use they will be to him politically”

Well, it’s certain that someone is being dishonest here. If Trump didn’t want scrutiny he could have quietly solicited donations from his friends. But make a big show in the middle of a campaign to skip a debate to noisily host a fundraiser just to show that you’re different/better and more respectful/caring than all the other candidates, you better be prepared to answer questions and back that up. He made it part of the campaign narrative, and he gets to live with it. Welcome to the show.

Thanks pine - very interesting article! This section highlights how Donald plays fast and loose with rules, regs, honoring commitments:

In 2005, Trump borrowed $640 million from Deutsche Bank and several other lenders for the construction of a Chicago hotel tower. When he failed to pay back the money on time in 2008, the banks, including Deutsche Bank, demanded he pay up the $40 million he had personally guaranteed. In response, Trump sued Deutsche Bank for $3 billion, saying the project’s financial troubles were the fault of the economic recession, essentially an act of God, and accusing the bank of undermining the project and his reputation.

Suspect it’s an old friend. He’ll probably be vaporized by elevenses.

Jesus. “The media is so biased! But I’m definitely gonna vote for you, bro!”

Like the woman says in Bull Durham, “The world was made for those who weren’t cursed with self awareness.”

In the words of Admiral Hirohito after the attacks on Pearl Harbor:

I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.

There are only so many FuxNews and Morning Joes to provide shelter - a hard lesson we can all hope Trump learns very soon.

I agree with Hanity, that he not of the corrupt press…He is a corrupt Propagandist…

Both Hannity and Trump exhibit infantile behavior.

InsHannity’ and Drumpf are simply codependents: For FOXwhore’ Hannity, Donny is ratings; for Donny Hannity is a useful fool and reliably supportive mouthpiece.

(*The only caveat here is that "Hannity was born stupid.)

Indeed. Here’s Graydon Carter’s Vanity Fair asking, right out loud, a fairly pointed question: “Is Donald Trump Not Really a Billionaire?” and answering it: Maybe not. And pointing out that the revelation he’s not rich rich might be one of the few things his mouth-breathing minions wouldn’t be able to stomach. You see Hannity here propping up the myth, as if it’s self-evidently clear that of course Donald doesn’t need the money, ho ho ho, who could think such a thing, Donald Trump has all the money. In the meantime his campaign doesn’t seem to have money to spend. This is getting interesting.

Nah, that only happens when you resist. He’s compliant and receptive. Good bottom material, just needed the right top.
