Cert. denied. As expected, but still gratifying to see the Court still has some integrity.
ETA: more details added to the story show the order was the full court lifting the stay on enforcing the subpoena. Which basically means that the applicant can still file its cert petition but they’ve lost on the important part (staying the subpoena and not having to produce the requested documents) and as a practical matter has little chance of getting cert granted.

True, but unfortunately that can cut both ways.
I’m beginning to think some of the justices may be crazy like foxes. None of them are stupid, so it won’t surprise me if, in the long run, they create some distance from the Orange Stain in the White House. They care about their own legacies, not his.

Despite what they just did, I still think we’re screwed. They may distance themselves from Trump, but they’re still going to do everything in their power to dismantle the progress of the last half century.
There’s been a bunch of stuff happening today that’s sure to send Spankee into a fury.
Personally, I don’t see how his handlers are going to keep him on script. Even if he makes it to the end of his statement (stumbling, stony-faced, reading it like a third grader), he’s 1) not going to be persuasive and 2) going to go off like Krakatoa within in hours (if not sooner) and contradict everything via tweets or interviews.
Betcha there’s a whole lot of blame-flinging going on at the WH right now.
