What prosecutorial body picks up with this and runs with it if Mueller’s investigation is officially shuttered?
Wonderin’ the same thing .
Not particularly relevant, but the photograph does remind me: I’ve known many a law-school drop-out who’d have made a better Supreme Court Justice than Clarence Thomas.
Wherever Poppy Bush is roasting these days, he’s got this to answer for as well.
Can Trump pardon foreign owned companies?
What even happens with this now, if anything, and does the end of Mueller investigation mean the end of this thing arising from it? That’s the kind of thing I am eagerly awaiting to hear.
DOJ – or any entity to which the task is delegated.
DOJ. Wow, that’s a hoot. Har. Har.
Finally someone tells a joke today. Thanks.
Yes. We’re in Joseph Heller country now.
HOUSE: We’ve just discovered troubling evidence that the DOJ may have been unlawfully influenced by the White House in its decision-making. Let’s immediately refer this to… the DOJ.
We really do have a problem here.
And who’s to say the DOJ even delegates pursuit of this foreign corporation to anyone. They could just say “Thank you, SCOTUS, we’ll just file away this ruling. Sorry for the trouble, we kinda feel this will be a dead end anyway, so we’re dropping it. You know, since there were no underlying crimes that motivated issuance of the subpoena in the first place.”
he sure can- if he can detect a heartbeat
What will be Trumpco’s compensation?
The underlying crime thing is a beaut.
HOUSE: We’ve come across this footage of Trump shooting someone on Fifth Avenue.
DOJ: Interesting. But where’s the underlying crime?
Despite all the hand-wringing going on here, this (and the Stone investigation) is a pretty good indication that the investigation is at least still moving forward on referrals. It’s likely that Mueller’s report probably detailed the open-ended cases that may end in indictments, and that Barr quite willfully elected not to mention them. Everything about Barr’s summary (and the conclusions many panicked people have been drawing from it) seem way off.
What are the chances that “The Trump Organization” is the foreign owned company we’re talking about here?
zip. zilch. nada. not a chance.
but yeah, it’s covered in russian dressing for sure.
52:48 and three of the ayes later said they’d made a mistake. If other women he’d harassed had been allowed to testify before the Senate he’d have had to slink back to Pinpoint, GA, with his tail between his legs. Note that of the current Supreme Court makeup, four of five GOP justices had ayes only in the fifties while only two Dems had ayes in the sixties. This court is truly stacked with wingnut conservos since they’re just as confirmed with 50% + 1 as with ayes in the 90s.
