Also…this is only valid until Wed. when the prosecution gets to respond. Also, the SCOTUS could refuse the case as well.

I think VagProbeMcDonnell should have to spend the rest of his time out of prison under house arrest with Maureen… in a 1 BR 1 Bath home… no AC, no ‘staff’ and no remote control for the BW tv.

This is a major overstatement by TPM. Read the Court’s order, which is linked in the source story. The Court gave the Government until Wednesday afternoon to file a response to McDonnell’s request to stay out of jail. He is free until the Court rules on the request. It says nothing about him being able to stay free beyond that order or for the duration of his appeal. I don’t think that it says anything about what their ultimate decision will be.

I am not surprised and had predicted this outcome. This is more evidence that religious conservatives like the RATS on the Supreme Court are fiercely loyal to fellow conservatives.
Tony Scalia stepped to anoint Vice President George Bush the Dumber. Now Roberts steps in for Governor Forced Vaginal Ultrasound Probing without Consent.
Very likely Roberts and his fellow RATS will make the case that money is free speech and that bribery, insider trading, money laundering, price fixing etc. are simple exchanges of favors among consenting adults that are essential for interstate commerce and are in accordance with the conservative Constituion.
