Discussion for article #238159
To me this clearly reads as an attempt to allow Walker the freedom to keep being as extreme as possible on the trail but send out some false signals that he might actually moderate on the issue if he wins (spoiler alert: he won’t). Very similar to how he handled abortion in his last gubernatorial race.
I am even less interested in the opinions of Scott Walker’s family than I am in Scott Walker’s opinions themselves. The fact that this Koch Bros sock-puppet is a leading contender for the presidential nomination of a major party is depressing enough. This guy makes GWB look like an intellectual by comparison.
Well, at least now we know who is The Douchebag at the Dinner Table at the Walker Compound…as if we didn’t know already…
Kochs win hands down:
Family vs Koch
Personal beliefs Vs Koch
America vs Koch
This is the GOP conundrum in a nutshell - their extreme, and increasingly unpopular, positions are alienating more people than they are attracting.
Nailed it.
But the pivot is timed to also give him wiggle room once he ventures into New Hampshire with its more Libertarian GOP base as oppose to the Evangelical zealots who make up the bulk of the Iowa GOP base.
So his family gives him a pass on being either a homophobic bigot, or a total hypocrite?
“whom friends told the Post has vacationed and hosted parties with Wisconsin’s first family.”
Holy crap, doesn’t Walker realize that handling eating utensils that have been touched by the gays can transmit the gay virus in as little as 15 seconds?
Hey! Remember when “w” welcomed his daughters’ gay friends to the White House and he never used anti-gay ballot measures to boost turnout in 2004? LOL this is the usual BS.
Good to know that willful ignorance is not an inherited trait…
I appreciate that his family isn’t on board with his bigotry in this regard, but that doesn’t soften him at all if that’s the impression WaPo and Walker’s campaign is trying to leave its readers. He’s still an ignorant fuck, always doing what’s politically expedient to remain in good standing with other ignorant fucks, just like himself. Nor are his family members the ones that are running for President, so who cares what his wife or kids think. He’s Da Man of the Family, and by-gosh, he gets the last word…amiright?? That’s how it works on the right. Don’t believe me? Look it up in Conservapedia. They’ll set ya straight.
So which of the 36 states who have already made same sex marriage legal, are going to reverse course and support a constitutional amendment? Walker is a clown. A very dangerous clown.
It is difficult to not be cynical when one reads these stories
I agree wholeheartedly. The timing of this is perfect. Tons of folks on vacation right now and most if the media watching Trump and the Grexit.
I believe his opinions on (Gay) marriage are coldly calculated to draw homophobic voters.
Who else would vote for this idiot?
If you take a loom at the pic in the story…is it me or does it look like his son the one in the pink tie is checkin out his mom’s ass??/…I don’t think gay marriage is the problem here…lmao
This so-called “revelation” is calculated, i.e. politically motivated. Have the Walker sons joined the military?? If not, why not??
Like everyone who gets in the way of his political ambitions, Snotty would throw his family under the bus to please the flying monkey base he thinks would tip the scale for him to 50.1% in the Presidential election.
Of course, if the Kochs (they don’t care much about the religious right’s issues; it’s all about money for them) tell him to back off of the religious right if he expects to get money from them, he’ll find a way.
At least Dubya finished Yale with a gentleman’s C. Snotty got kicked out of Marquette and never got a degree.
