To me this clearly reads as an attempt to allow Walker the freedom to keep being as extreme as possible on the trail but send out some false signals that he might actually moderate on the issue if he wins (spoiler alert: he won’t). Very similar to how he handled abortion in his last gubernatorial race.

I am even less interested in the opinions of Scott Walker’s family than I am in Scott Walker’s opinions themselves. The fact that this Koch Bros sock-puppet is a leading contender for the presidential nomination of a major party is depressing enough. This guy makes GWB look like an intellectual by comparison.

I appreciate that his family isn’t on board with his bigotry in this regard, but that doesn’t soften him at all if that’s the impression WaPo and Walker’s campaign is trying to leave its readers. He’s still an ignorant fuck, always doing what’s politically expedient to remain in good standing with other ignorant fucks, just like himself. Nor are his family members the ones that are running for President, so who cares what his wife or kids think. He’s Da Man of the Family, and by-gosh, he gets the last word…amiright?? I agree wholeheartedly. The timing of this is perfect. Tons of folks on vacation right now and most if the media watching Trump and the Grexit.
I believe his opinions on (Gay) marriage are coldly calculated to draw homophobic voters.

Like everyone who gets in the way of his political ambitions, Snotty would throw his family under the bus to please the flying monkey base he thinks would tip the scale for him to 50.1% in the Presidential election.
Of course, if the Kochs (they don’t care much about the religious right’s issues; it’s all about money for them) tell him to back off of the religious right if he expects to get money from them, he’ll find a way.
