Discussion: Scott Walker Poised to Sign 20-Week Abortion Ban

Discussion for article #236870

What did Scctt Walker say to the woman who got raped and got pregnant?

As a man, I never cease to be amazed at how politicians feel free to abuse women and their rights to health care. Who gives a shit how the pregnancy was caused? It should be nobody’s business but the woman’s when and whether she procures an abortion or not.

After all, when he and his wife found she was pregnant they were delighted!..oh, wait…That wasn’t after a rape … why should that make a difference according to him?

Here we go with another GOP governor who does not care who he hurts if he thinks their interests will get in the way of his Prersidential ambitions. Like the rest of them, he is a tool and a fool. A dog turd has more charisma.

Soooooo… Scott Walker is telling me that if his precious white daughter was raped by one of those awful brown people and got pregnant, he’d force her to bear the child. Even if the pregnancy endangered her life.

Yeah, right. Precious little Walker girl would be whisked to an oh-so-discreet Canadian abortion doctor in less time than it takes a Republican presidential candidate to make excuses for child molesters.

This is the Republican Party, people. Voting has consequences, and so does not voting.

“At least he’ll NEVER be POTUS.”

If I wanted to subject myself to such an unpleasant task, I bet I could find many thousands of statements by Dems and progressives saying the exact same damn thing about George W. Bush.

If Scott Walker gets the Republican nomination, he is assured of getting at least 45% of the popular vote, which is what Grumpy McCain got. All he has to do after that is move up 5% to give the Roberts Court a chance to anoint him President.

" 20-week bans are a winning issue politically, as a solid majority of Americans support the prohibition."

I must live in an alternate universe, because even in my Republican saturated area, they will let women who were raped get abortions. Also, who is getting polled? I hang up when those guys call me, and I assume that these days most other people with a life, i.e. work, children, hobbies, fitness activities, and a general desire not to waste time talking to strangers, do too.

abortion opponents believe that 20-week bans are a winning issue politically,

And next time it will be 18-week bans, the time after that 16-week bans, and so on.

Google “paraguay 10 year old pregnant” and read the results of an absolute ban on any abortion for any reason after 20 weeks. It’s the national law there.

Better do it quick, though. It’s news from the beginning of the month. Everyone in the rest of the world is forgetting about it and not covering it anymore.

But, the 10 year old is still mandated to give birth by the State.

Here, I’ll get you started:

 • Take action to help individuals at risk and defend human rights

That’s well over 600 children under 14 years old who get pregnant each year in Paraguay, a country of 6.7 million. In the U.S. that would scale to about 30,000 children being forced to give birth each year. Just in case you thought that 600 per year in one country was an abomination.

This is what Scott Walker and the Republican Party want for the United States.

That’s what snakes do before they strike. They poise.

Republicans love fetuses, but they hate women and children.

More of the GOP outreach program to women and minorities!

He’s taking the lead from Paraguay . 10 year old girl was raped by her step-father and because the government is controlled by the Catholic church she cannot have an abortion .
