Schumer To Trump: ‘Don’t Even Think About’ Firing Mueller After Cohen Raid
Is Schumer daring Trump?
This surprised me:
He had proposed this, then let it sit and didn’t push it. Til now.
If I were designing a method to goad Trump into trying to fire Mueller, it would involve at least in part Chuck (and Nancy) publicly scolding him to not act.
This is not helpful and Schumer knows it.
These messages need to come from top Republicans privately, and I assume they are.
In further support of my (purely speculative) theory that there is more to this, substantively, than bank fraud or campaign finance violations:
If this warrant was not connected to Trump-Russia, Sessions’ recusal would not be applicable. Why would Rosenstein be signing off on it?
Chuck Grassley just did. Brings two thoughts to mind 1) Grassley could easily back down (wouldn’t be the first time) or 2) The GOP is at the point where (secretly) they’d like Trump to be gone and they’re looking for a way to do this.

Perhaps this explains the rampant rumors that Ryan is running for the hills, not seeking re-election? His involvement in hiding Russian interference would be very tough to live down.
It sure feels like the end game is afoot, and with that, hopefully the end of times for Trump as President.
