Iâm sure the Tea Partyâs free speech advocates will be all over this.
Letâs not forgetâŚthere is no requirement you be truthful on social media and almost nothing you find there can be taken as Gospel. Kids are kidsâŚon social media too.
At some point this has to stop. Hopefully this ends up in lawsuitâŚ
Privacy issues notwithstanding, 14 students expelled in exchange for a $157,000 salary. Thatâs over 10,000 per student expelled. Wow. Just wow.
Obviously the problem in AL is graduation rates are too high.
âThese numbers tell me that I have kids with some major issues,â
So instead of addressing those issues they expel them. Problem solved.
But that white boy holding a gun over a dead animalâa fine upstanding lad!
Amurikkkan Teatroll Rosetta Stone says: âIf we canât take the public school system away from the blah kids, then dad gummit weâre gonna take the blah kids away from the public school system!!!â
âŚand the TokenNon-Whites were left-leaningâŚ
and smarter than the average TeaXian.
And while they expelled the twelve black kids because of
said âguns and gangsââsome disaffected white kid is thinking
about bringing his non-gang ass to school with a loaded automatic
weapon.
Who could have forsee that?
I think the bigger problem is that they expelled 305 students last year.
Alabamians donât need no stinking eddycashunâespecially them blah ones.
There is no privacy issue here. That said, the rest of your post I agree with.
McRae does other work besides leading the social media investigations.
Iâd like to know what that âother workâ is and if there is any âconnectivityâ with the school monitoring.
I thought we threw off the shackles of our British oppressors long ago. But I see AL has embraced the 3rd wave of British oppression with the music of Pink Floyd. (donât make me spell it out)
Can a school legally contract with a 3rd party to monitor the schoolâs students after hours?
Is there an expectation of privacy of with regards to what a person posts publicly on Social Media?
No matter how poor the school, or how âstarvedâ the beast is, there is always enough money int he south to shoot, expelled, and in general marginalize black kids.
There is an expectation that your school will not use tax payer dollars to target you.
As I said, I agree that this was (at least from what I have read) a gross misuse of public funds which were suppose to be spent on education.
But this is 100% not a âprivacyâ issue.
