Wow. TPM articles are coming out later and later in the day.
Hmmm. Reading this, you’d almost think Adam Schiff knows what he’s talking about. But, nah, Jr. is smarter - he’ll outwit them at the hearing.
What Schiff doesn’t realize is those norms of his beloved decency is exactly what is hindering America from its’ entitlement to greatness. The Trumpire saw those norms as parasitic (well, the wrong kind of parasite as ‘not involving Them’) and screwed their resolve to give us a new set of norms more appropriate to America today /snark
Charles Pierce:
All over the Intertoobz, Trump Kremlinologists—and, hell, actual Kremlinologists—were parsing the events to a fine pulp to try and discover the through line in what now appears to be a writhing ball of snakes pretending to be a government.
Yes, a patriotic citizen would go wow, this sounds like espionage. That person would than inform the FBI, somebody in the intelligence community about what was going on. Trump Jr., Kushner, and Manfort should be banned from every having jobs in the government, and Kushner who is now advisor to Trump should resign immediately.
"… you go to the FBI. You report it. That’s what a decent citizen would do,” he said.
'Course, we’re not talking about decent citizens here, we’re talking about a high quality person (HQP).
And just up…from Mr. Marshall on the front page:
”CNN a short while [ago] reported that the blockbuster news of the last three days was news to the Special Counsel’s office…if we’re thinking that the FBI/Mueller has known this stuff for months, that’s wrong. They didn’t.”
(Gulp)
One can only hope that Mueller, et al are approaching the investigation and the suspects like a snake approaches its enclosed prey, e.g. a mouse, slowly circling, sizing up, gathering advantage, and then making the lethal strike.
Not to worry. Even more evidence they’re following the money, not the dirty tricks.
My, my. At 7 Eastern, CNN is doing an expose. “It has taken the President 4 days to come to his son’s defense, while he comes to his daughter’s defense immediately. What is the father/son relationship really like?”
Hey @daveyjones64, is this what’s going to give Father T the excuse to break open that twitter seal?
We woz gobsmacked!
On CNN’s “Inside Politics” with Dana Bash, Jackie Calmes, a veteran political reporter for the Los Angeles Times, expressed the collective bewilderment of many when she said, “I would be lying to you if I said I could explain almost any of this.”
All of this, punctuated by the fact that the conspiracy was memorialized in emails, has Beltway players scratching their heads. They seem perplexed by the idea that an American presidential campaign would meet with a foreign adversary in search of political dirt. And they’re amazed at how many falsehoods Trump advisers have told for months about their contacts with Russia during the campaign.
Who could have known? Pitiful 'jus pitiful.
All I can say is they all need to spend more time around this comments board = we coulda told them all about it.
It’s pure sexism. Dad thinks daughters need protection from all adversity. Sons however can learn from struggles, mistakes, and soon, bus tires.
So.Much.Incriminating.Material.
Certainly helps to explain the pathetic job done by many in the MSM last year.
It was right there in front of them, but they were blinded by orange skin and ratings.
Gossip over gumption.
And this Jr. storyline seems to have snowball to avalanche potential.
